Description

A beautiful computer hacker and a bad-boy FBI agent must collaborate—in more ways than one—in this sexy, suspenseful novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julie Garwood.

Allison Trent doesn't look like a hacker. In fact, when she's not in college working on her degree, she models on the side. But behind her gorgeous face is a brilliant mind for computers and her real love is writing—and hacking—code. Her dream is to write a new security program that could revolutionize the tech industry.

Hotshot FBI agent Liam Scott has a problem: a leak deep within his own department. He needs the skills of a top-notch hacker to work on a highly sensitive project: to secretly break into the FBI servers and find out who the traitor is. But he can't use one of his own. He finds the perfect candidate in Allison. Only, there's one problem—she wants nothing to do with his job and turns him down flat.

What Liam doesn't know is that Allison is hiding secrets that she doesn't want the FBI to uncover. But Liam will do nearly anything to persuade her to join his team, even break a few rules if that's what it takes. A temptation that could put his job—and both of their futures—on the line...

This could have been good, but wound up having countless flaws. The female protagonist was supposedly a smart, beautiful model yet somehow was completely incapable of standing up for herself. Were readers supposed to relate to her martyrdom? I just found it exhausting. Worse, the male protagonist was an arrogant d-bag who gets off on manipulating people. Yeah, hard pass. The plot was mildly interesting, but with the wholly uninspired main characters, incessant head hopping and tedious internal dialogue, this book was a waste of time and money.

Didn’t want to put it down.
  • This poor girl has WAY too many plots and all bad!

Give the main character a break! 1.) her ex roommate steals her program 2.) her aunt and uncle are abusive and stealing her money. 3.) her male cousin is a jerk. 4.) the actual main plot to the book. Too many side plots to this wonderful character it becomes muddy. I feel this girl is constantly being raked over the coals over and over and then another obstacle gets thrown at her. It is hard to keep up!!!

I loved that we got Liam’s story. My only comment I wish there was more dialogue between Allison and Liam regarding their feelings prior to the end.

But still Garwoods’ great details on feelings, too. She knows how to sell the sizzle!
  • Fun and fast non stop action.

I’m a fan of Julie Garwood and have read all her books. Really liked the characters in this book. The lady wasn’t vulgar and the man she falls in love with was a man you could love and you don’t find that often in romance writers. Great job giving the characters emotion without using language that makes me cringe. This was one of my favorites out of the series.

This was one of those “Can’t put it down” books. Loved the characters and the story line. Can’t go wrong with a Julie Garwood book!

Everything about this book is captivating. The more you read, the more you become engrossed. The story line kept me on my feet the whole time. It was well written and had many events occur, which made me curious to what happens next. This book should definitely be on your next book list no matter the price, you won’t regret it!

I enjoyed it ..at times I would say come on & would skip some parts. It’s a nice book about a cop and hacker. I got upset when she didn’t defend herself to her aunt & uncle...but she finally did in the end.

Julie Garwood always has the unique story that is sexy, funny, nail biting and relevant to what’s happening today, yet still a great read ten years down the road. “Wired” brings back Liam (yea!!), and the Buchanans and introduces a gutsy heroine in Allison. I’ll be rereading it next week (I’m not joking)!

I love this book! I have read it so many times I finally bought but it. All the characters are well developed and the story flows so smoothly. I wish there was an epilogue about what life was like year later.
