Becoming part of the campaign never seemed as thrilling as in this moment getting to spend time next to the man of her dreams. I love how Matt’s character was transformed from teenager to man to this untouchable popular candidate for President. Katy wrote a smoldering, sexy, smart and sophisticated forbidden romance. Even in a world of politics it was crisp and smooth. Katy has a knack for creating sexy stunning men who are confident yet humble. Katy began with a banger opening then ventured back to where it all began. Your going to need patience after that opening scene. I like the backstory, yet I’m anxious to get back to where it ended and how and if it will begin again. The hoops they jump thru and the challenges they face are thrilling. The angst, the lust, the desire, and the passion have me wound so tight. You don’t have to follow politics, understand politics, or be interested in politics to love these characters. It’s more than politics. It’s about a man devoted to his country with the support of a young woman who believes in him. Reaching the beginning point is like waiting for the next book release after it ends on a cliffhanger. Pure torture.Love love loooooooovvvvveeeedddd!!!!!!!

I haven't really read any books with this much of a political storyline so I didn't know if I would like that part of it and I am happy to say that I really liked the storyline and thought it was very interesting. This is possibility my favorite Katy Evans book so far. I really like Matt and Charlotte. They are intriguing as well as entertaining and I enjoyed being in both of their heads, I just wish we got a few more Matt POV chapters. I can't wait for Commander in Chief and to find out what is going to happen next with Matt and Charlotte!Obsessed from the very start!!

Basically it was about their undying, unfulfilled, secret lust for one another on every page. No witty conversations, no building of character. Extremely boring. I can't justify the 5 star reviews or the cost. The End.Fell hard for Matt and Charlotte

I'm not a political person myself so I find it fascinating what all goes on in politics. Matt Hamilton is every girl's fantasy and every guy wants to be him. He is political royalty. I felt myself falling for him along with Charlotte. Charlotte knew when she started things with Matt, that if he won the Presidency, he could never be hers. She couldn't stop herself from falling completely in love though. I loved the stolen moments they had and how Matt wanted to protect Charlotte at any cost. I didn't know if I wanted him to win or lose the Presidency. I wanted him and Charlotte to have a chance and I knew if he won, that wouldn't happen. I cried with Charlotte as Matt realized his dream and Charlotte's was crushed. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. Loved Matt and Charlotte!YESSSSSSS!
5By RentasticROh man, this book! My freaking goodness, MATT. HAMILTON. I'll just begin this by saying how much I adore and LOVE this man. Nothing can ever make my heart stutter and skip a beat like the famous men of Katy Evans. There's just something in her characters that are so uniquely enticing and addictive like a drug you can't shake. And I've never been much of a fan of politics, but this author has certainly managed to reel me in and have me flipping the pages like there's no tomorrow. I felt every single emotion surrounding the story, the feels emanating from the characters, the passion, the drive, the love—EVERYTHING. Good god, does Katy Evans know how to bring the swoony, steamy feels like nobody's business! Especially with a forbidden love story like this one. My fingers and toes tingled and curled, my stomach was invaded by an army of butterflies, my heart was beating wildly inside my chest, and it happened the entire time I indulged in this book.Loved Matt Hamilton and Can't wait for more!!

Katy Evans has a way of sucking you right in, and I couldn't put this one down. Matt Hamilton was so sexy and I just couldn't get enough of him and Charlotte! Charlotte Wells met Matt Hamilton as a child, with her the daughter of a senator and him being the son of the president. Though he said he would never run for president, she wrote him a letter letting him know that if he ever did, she would be there to help him with his campaign. Three presidential terms later, Charlotte receives and invitation to join Matt's campaign. She joins his team and Charlotte is excited about the future and what Matt brings for the country she loves. She is determined to do whatever it takes to get Matt the presidency, but the more they are together the more they find themselves wanting something they both know is impossible for them to have. I loved these two together. They had great chemistry and a connection that felt so genuine and natural. Charlotte was strong and smart, and I loved her passion and determination. She was a breath of fresh air for Matt and his campaign, and I really liked how she always put him first, even when it broke her heart. Matt was sexy and good, and I loved that he was loyal to his family's legacy, yet also determined to forge his own path. He was independent and determined to do the right thing rather than rely on taking the easy road. These two were so sexy together and you could feel the tension and steam between them. I never wanted it to end. I will say that I should have known that this wouldn't be a standalone, yet it surprised me as I approached the ending and knew there was no way that Katy Evans could wrap up Matt and Charlotte's story in the few pages that were left. While I am so excited to get more of these characters that I loved here, I have little patience and I want them now! Luckily the next book in the White House series is set to release early next year, so we aren't left hanging for too long. Even though I hate the waiting, this book was so worth the read and I am glad that I read this one now. This is one of my favorites that I have read from Katy Evans, and I think fans of hers are going to love this one every bit as much as I did. Katy Evans is one of those authors that I just have to read regardless of what the story is, and this one definitely did not disappoint! 5By Romance ConnoisseurThis was my first book by Katy Evans and I must say, my mind, and heart, are shattered. I was swept up into this world of politics until it was all that I thought about. My heart tugged, rejoiced, and then tugged some more. I now officially say that I want my own Matt Hamilton! I loved the interactions between Charlotte and Matt. They were sweet and spicy whenever the situation dictated. I loved how I got to watch their relationship built into something so consuming and beautiful. Now, I knew how the book was going to end since I knew there was another book coming out. Nevertheless, that just made it more emotional for me as the reader because in every sweet interaction they had together, I knew that it was soon going to come to an end. This is one of my favorite books of all time, and I am anxiously awaiting Commander in Chief! My heart is still trying to repair itself from that heart wrenching ending, and I'm pretty sure that it still will be by the time the sequel comes out. You know Katy, if you wanted to send me an ARC, I'd be pretty okay with that! 😁I Vote For Matt

2By Toni FGMAMTCI love this author's other books, but this story didn't work for me. It wasn't able to keep my focus. There isn't anything in particular that stands out as something I didn't like. It's just that I couldn't get into it so it felt more like work than fun to read. Most people seemed to really like it. Maybe the timing was a factor for me because of already being burned out with this current election.I am beyond in love with this sexy, fun, and oh so swoon-worthy read!
5By MyyykiaHoly smokes I wasn’t ready for this one! When I first got wind of this book, an eyebrow raised about it only because of the political aspect. However, that was quickly set aside when I remember that Katy Evans wrote this, I mean come on, she hasn’t disappointed me yet! So of course I started reading with an open mind and boy was this something! This is one of those stories that you just have to pick up and read! The chemistry between our main characters Matt and Charlotte is incredible fire that’s off the charts and the “complicated” aspect of this makes it even more heart stopping. Matt is a strong, smart, and captivating man who has an obvious love for his family, people in general, and his country! You get to see his character show through his actions and the love that he developed for charlotte was undeniable. Charlotte was incredibly sweet and caring, and watching the relationship between her and Matt develop was incredibly fun and lighthearted. She helped him become an even better man and it was heartwarming to watch! The progression of the story was incredibly smooth and it slowly stole me away. It gripped my attention from the start and at no point did it let go. For a while they tried not to acknowledge the feelings they had for each other, but of course that avoidance didn’t last forever and they finally gave in (and boy when they did)! This story was told slightly different from the way I remember Manwhore and I actually loved it just as much! I was, but I really wasn’t ready for what this one brought and to date, this is one of my favorite books, alongside every other book that I’ve read by Katy Evans. This one was entirely too much fun to read and I CANNOT wait for the next one because this one did end on a cliffhanger! These characters are phenomenal and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next!
