Brooke has finally landed the lucrative sports rehabilitation job she’s worked toward for years, hired to keep Remy’s body in peak condition as he dominates the brutal underground fighting circuit. 5By Nuts4cerealWhen I started reading this genre, I read a bunch of great books but Real was the first to really stick with me. I was sucked into the world of Remington "Riptide" Tate and Brooke Dumas and never wanted to leave. Remy is part of an underground fighting circuit. He's a god in and out of the ring but has some serious issues that are revealed later on in the book. During one of his fights he locks eyes with Brooke and from that point on, he decides that she is his. Brooke is attending the underground fight with some friends (great side characters by the way) and catches the eye of Remy. The attraction is there and with her system on overload, she decides she needs to leave. Remy proceeds to chase her down and approaches her in one of the sexiest ways I think I have ever read. Brooke is a former Olympic hopeful. With her dreams now shattered, she finds herself employed by Remy and his team to be his sports therapy manager. Working with him and on him daily sets the stage for an off the charts build up that drove me insane and kept the pages turning. This book is well written and delivers a powerful punch of emotions. It covers some serious topics, has a villain that adds a little more darkness to the storyline, gives you a love story that has you rooting for the lead characters from the very beginning and lets not forget the ridiculously HOT love scenes that may actually make you blush. I would highly recommend reading Real and the rest of the series as well. It truly is a Knockout series!Wow!
5By Salina74This book kept me on edge the whole time. Very well written, keeping me hanging on every word with different emotions of anger, happiness and laughing out loud.Eh
1By Morganb41This book was cringeworthy at best. I actually read to the end because I was slightly intrigued by the storyline, but ended up disappointed with the rushed and lacking resolution. The characters were shallow and if I read the words "sex muscle" one more time I might vomit. The writing is awful. Like minus the sexual content I might have thought a high schooler wrote this. Not worth my time.LOVE

3By Cupofjo3Good and read fast. The Olympian trainer vs. The Riptide fighter.
5By Annmric8Remington Tate is a fighter in the Underground League. The story is multi layered making it more than just a story about a fighter. That layered element comes in a package of femininity called Brooke. Remington is disciplined. He is alpha male. He's is barbaric. He is like a lion ready to pounce. Brooke was training for the Olympics when her world came crashing down when she suffered a knee injury. Rather than admit defeat for a sport she is passionate about she decided to learn how to become a sports rehabilitation specialist. Together Remington and Brooke share a passion for training and conditioning the body. The sexual tension resolves around the touches, the stares, the smells, and the movements being made while Brooke watches Remington fight and when she is conditioning his tired muscles. Brooke's character is highly aroused by Remington's physique but holds back her arousal to maintain professionalism. The story focuses on many elements: the fighting, the training, Brooke's injury, and the past. It becomes more about the passion of combining two characters that share a kismet for the act of achieving a goal driven by being a champion. While Brooke's dreams were crushed by her injury she still gets to succeed by helping others achieve success. Story told from Brooke's POV. It feels like Beauty and Beast. Remington the beast who is enamored with Brooke and Brooke the beauty who originally fought her bodies reaction to the beast. He also reminds me of the Hulk. One minute mean and angry and the next soft and gentle. The foreplay between music, training, and fighting is intense. Remy reminds me of a possessive animal claiming the female with touch, scent, and dominance. A few negatives was the constant use of the word "mine" and the need to rub semen on a body showing ownership. The words "Who do you belong to Brooke?" These phrases and words make my skin crawl with annoyance. For that it warrants a 4⭐️.Amazing!
5By hezzypieeLove this book so much I'm reading it a second time. Seriously get get over this series! AmazingTotally Hot!!!
5By Jenn1785I'm utterly speechless!! This book had me so engrossed, I absolutely loved Remy and Brooke!! I couldn't get enough of Remy and the way he went all caveman with Brooke!! This book is definitely at the top of my most favorite reads!!Amazing!!!
5By RevwalLoved this book! Read it in one day! Great storyline and I just kept feeling that pull on my heart strings!! Onto book 2 nowA must read!!!
5By mLawson628I absolutely LOVE this series!! It was a little frustrating at first but only because Katy was able to draw me in emotionally but then it got good.. REAL GOOD!!LOVED This book - Remy is one of my new favorite book boyfriends!
5By Brandee's Book EndingsWhile I really liked this book overall and LOVED Remy, the 1st half of the book was 5+ stars for me, but slowed down to about a 4 for the 2nd half. So, I would have to rate this a 4.5? I am torn on the actual rating. Remy Remy Remy! I can hear myself cheering it or maybe it is some of the other things that the women at his fights scream to him. Hmmm, I’ll never tell! I don't know what it is exactly, well maybe I do, but Remy does it for me! Like "right. from. the. start". Katy did such a great job in describing him that I could easily picture him and all his hotness! As in - OMG hotness. I need a fan - LOL! I don't even like watching fighting!!!! I feel like Brooke at the first match she saw Remy. Have to look away, but drawn to him. I could not seem to put the book down. The first half I literally COULD.NOT.PUT.DOWN! While there are other fighter types of books that I have read and even loved, I am thinking Remy is my new favorite. While he has that whole dominant bad boy vibe, he has enough redeeming qualities that he was not off-putting to me and I felt bad for him. I was able to fly through this book - which is always a good sign that I am into a book. The sexual attraction and sparks that fly between Remy and Brooke is sizzling. I get to a certain part of the book and think it is FINALLY going to happen! I am ready for it, I want it! And I was so nervous, I was not going to get it LOL! I think my sexual frustration level was more than Brooke's LOL I loved it, I want more, but I wish that the 2nd half punched me as much as the first half did – don’t get me wrong, the second half was still good and if you have not read this series yet, now is the time to start it so you don’t have to wait to read the next one.Remy
5By Bdc313First of all let me just say, Remy...just...mm...Remy. I could picture him in my mind perfectly. This book made me smile and fan my face so many times. I swear I was telling Brooke off at times and then "you go girl," at others. I mean what a lucky batch to have someone love to that degree. A little scary at times but holy moley, what a man. Even with his bi polar ness, which is not a joke, he was still mm... Remy. That's like the new word for yummy or something. Great read!Intense, emotional
5By raymasonReal had me at The GooGoo Dolls "Iris." One of favorite songs that expresses so much emotions, you feel the gut wrenching ache, pain, love. Katy does a wonderful job of drawing you in and feeling the intense emotions, age after page. It's not like Remy is my kind of guy, but man, I felt Brooke's need! And don't we all wish a guy will give up everything for you!Awesome
5By lindsay.plechatyGreat read, kept me intrigued the whole time! Can't wait for the next book
