Description
I'll never forget the first time someone called me 'trash.'
I was 13, and it was my own father. I guess I should've expected it, since Mom said I was a mistake for as long as I remember. I've been underestimated by everyone, from my ex-husband to my college instructor, who never thought I'd pass his EMT courses. When I first applied for the Fire Academy, I was laughed out the door, probably because my resume listed my employer as "Cherry Girls Gentlemen's Club."
I figure, people will doubt you. Let them. Just don't doubt yourself.
I got into the academy and passed with flying colors, and I just got my uniform as one of Boston's finest. I'm only a provisional firefighter, but when I make it through the trial period, I'll have my dream. The only thing standing in my way is the scorching attraction I feel towards my lieutenant—who is hands off because of the job.
Life isn't fair. Will the first good relationship I've ever experienced mean the end to my dream?

3By AngelajosephineListen, I’m all about a cliffhanger, but I feel like this book ended so abruptly it wasn’t even funny! No story arch - just stopped in the middle of everything.Amazing read!
5By Brookie202012Some of her best work! Couldn’t put it down and such a cute but hot story!Dare Me
5By Chanda ill it up.Filled with excitement, suspense and good sex.the struggles this young woman goes through with trying to raise a child alone makes for a great story. Can’t wait to read book two.Unsure how I feel
3By jj goatgirlDecent writing and some hot sex scenes, but the characters are in real career trouble here in their choices. Plus the book isn’t complete and you have to buy other stories to finish the one story line. Started promising and I wanted to cheer this heroine on, but ultimately I was disappointed overall. Guess I need to fork over some money to find out if it’ll end up working out for them in the end... I wish sometimes fictional characters could display real self control like people in real life have to, but I guess they’d never have issues to resolve that way!
