4By LisaCloverSnow Queen story remake with Lady Gerda and her childhood best friend Lord Kai. Both have prophesies that intertwine. It’s an interesting story where Gerda goes to Grimm Academy because of her prophesy and she fears making friends will catalyst her prophesy. Fear is a huge trait Gerda battles. When the appearance of childhood best friend Kai arrives that’s when the story takes off. Gerda isn’t likable and becomes a better character after meeting mer Mathilda “Mati”. The story ends on a happy ending. I really wasn’t impressed with this story and just simply didn’t like Gerda; although well written. A new student arrives and it is Gerda’s old friend Kai. They start spending time together and Gerda fears that her prophecy has begun. 5By ManxcatluvrEach of the Grimm Academy books features one or more fairy tales. I had not ever read the full Snow Queen fairy tale, so I didn’t have any idea what direction the book would take. Of course this version is a bit different than the original, although it contains some of the same elements. A clean and sweet book, and a quick read for a cold winter day. (Or a warm one). Her prophecy says her best friend will turn away from her and hate her. Kai, a childhood friend has come to Grimm Academy. She is so happy to see him again. Gerda meets Matilda and decides to risk it all by becoming friends with her. Mati is a mermaid with her own prophecy. Can Gerda defeat her prophecy with the help of Mati? Can she save Kai? This was an enjoyable story with interesting characters. The author has created an enchanted world that is filled with wonderful characters. I look forward to reading more stories in the Grimm Fairytale world. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
