  • Great Series Addition

I love this series. This entry in particular is great for catching up, as secondary characters in this book appear in earlier books. The main characters are both strong, delicious, with the setting, emotional journey, and secondary characters providing the right amount of spice to the recipe. I recommend this for a short, good read when you need a pick me up. I loved how Rowan and Edward intertwine their lives in the spirit of Christmas and the Fayre. This is a great addition to the series!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Rowen Parkes is the oldest sibling. She has three sisters and a brother. Rowen enjoys baking and managing the Broomstick Bakery. Rowen’s speciality is baking cookies infused with magic. Rowen prefers doing things behind the scenes. She does not enjoy working with the public. Christmas is the only time during the year that she goes out to sell their baked goods infused with Christmas cheer at the Christmas Fayre. This year she is grateful to have her younger brother Ash to help her at the Fayre. At the Christmas Fayre Rowen meets Edward from the mulled wine stall. Edward is helping his brother sell mulled wine. They are both intrigued with each other when they first meet. Edward is ready to date but Rowen is not sure if she is ready. Rowen is indecisive but needs a little push. Edward is perfect for her. Will Rowen acknowledge their connection and realize that Edward is the one? These two make a cute couple. Their courtship is sweet and fun. He is so understanding and compassionate. This is book three in the Broomstick Bakery series. The characters are wonderful. The interactions between the siblings is enjoyable. This is a marvelous story that takes place during Christmas. The Christmas cheer is magical and puts you in the spirit of the holiday. It was nice to see Ash helping his sister and becoming more involved with the bakery. I look forward to the next book in the series. This is a great paranormal romance with the hint of Christmas spirit, a lighthearted romance with a baking which involved. It’s a wonderful story and is Edward and. Rowan’s story. She’s a hard worker working all the time but slows down when she meets Edward. It was a fun ride with many laugh out loud moments that I suggest reading. These are the three things the eldest Parke’s sibling Rowan has in store for her story. Always in control and managing problems, Rowan gets a moment to relax and enjoy life with barrister Edward, younger brother to David, owner of the famous mulled wine family company. Accepting help and letting go are the two main points Rowan hesitates to allow. It’s a sweet romance expressing the family relationship of siblings and allowing oneself a chance at love. This was an ok read. I thought the characters were a bit “booring” and Rowen was a bit too naive/oblivious. I just wish there was more between Edward and Rowen, also the ending was a bit of a let down….only a HFN. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved Rowen's spunk in the previous books of the series, so it was great to get to know her better. Edward was the right amount of sweet and daring to mesh well with Rowen. I liked that we got to see their story unfold while also getting to see more of the Parkes' brother as well. This was a lighthearted read with some magic, a little mystery, and just some good old fashioned Christmas fun. I recommend you read the whole series. Some spoilers. It’s Christmas Fair time and Rowen has a stall for the bakery. She was wary of the rush she was sure to get until her brother Ash who’s on holiday from school volunteers to help out. Setting up she meets a warlock named Edward who starts invading her thoughts almost constantly. Being the practical sister she assumes it’s a crush and the feelings will go away. What kind of romance would this be if that were true? Edward and Rowan navigate some rocky waters to start but both have strong emotions and the feeling that this is the beginning of something long term. Sweet holiday romance. A bit of bumbling around the two but they manage to work through that. I love the dual perspectives giving us the chance to see and feel the relationship grow from the eyes of both Rowan and Edward. Love the sibling teasing that goes on and the strong bonds that they all have which clearly shines through. A very merry story perfect to snuggle up with on a holiday night or any night really. Is it bad to describe a book in a bakery series as sweet? Ah well, it is sweet. And cute, and a light, entertaining read. Rowen and Edward make a great pair and it’s enjoyable to see how they get to know each other. A fun Christmas read. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Rowan is the eldest of the siblings who own and operate Broomstick Bakery where they magically infuse their treats with a sense of emotion, not enough to influence, but enough to make you aware of, and appreciate a feeling. When she meets Edward, working one of the other stalls at the Christmas Fayre, she gets a fresh reminder it can be hard to differentiate between the real deal and something similar, between genuine emotion, and desire. She faces her own ambitions, while also realizing she may not have been paying as much attention as she could to some of her siblings. This done in one stand alone story packs a lot of story into a few pages as Rowan discovers her younger siblings have words of wisdom to offer, and lessons they can teach, between bouts of teasing her as only siblings can. I was gifted with a copy of The Gingerbread Witch and chose to share my thoughts.

Rowen from the Broomstick Bakery is the star this time as she meets and falls for Edward. Was a cute and clean story that had all my favorite characters from this series and world pop in to help Rowen at the Christmas Fayre. Made me laugh and sigh but I did enjoy returning to this series. Especially as Rowen was a hoot in this one.
