The MacTaggert brothers have one task:
Find English brides or lose their land!

Coll MacTaggert, Viscount Glendarril, is a big, brawny Highlander who doesn’t like being told what to do—not even by his exasperated English mother who is determined to see her eldest son wedded and bedded. However, when he comes to the rescue of an irresistibly beautiful woman, Coll discovers that he may have found his perfect match…

The challenge isn’t that Persephone Jones is famous, wealthy, independent, and smarter than anyone he knows. The problem is that she isn't interested in marrying any man—especially not a hot-headed Scot—even if he is the only man who seems to understand who she really is even when she’s not sure herself. When Coll learns that Persephone is actually a lady-in-hiding and someone is willing to kill her for what she stands to inherit…Well, Coll has never been one to turn down a fight. When hearts are involved, nothing comes between a Highlander and his lady.

This book and series is so good. Coll’s story did not disappoint, he is strong and confident and he could only fall for the same. I loved their story, that he would stand beside her in any scandal was so sweet! And I loved the big reunion in the end, I just needed more! I want to know what happened between Lord and Lady Aldriss. I do love how Suzanne Enoch kept it so real and that forgiveness was something the boys are still working on....even if I did wish they were a little bit sweeter. She writes the male POV very well.

Col MacTaggert, Viscount Glendarril, is the eldest son, his parents are the Scottish,Angus MacTaggert, Earl Aldriss and his very English wife, Francesca Oswell- MacTaggert. They both made this stupid agreement when he was eleven years old! His parents had been a love match though they are now estranged. The agreement was that all their sons would marry English brides like their mum. This would be before their wee sister Eloise married a man of her choice. The problem for Col is his sister had been engaged for two months now and he only has twenty-seven days to find a bride! His Countess mother had outsmarted his Da and has control of all of the money and kept the Oswell inheritance in her name to command it at will. Most of the Lassies his mother was shoving in his face were right out of the school room, even the ones a bit more mature were raised with proper English etiquette, including how to run a household, pick the right menu, and might even be good enough with mathematics to help with the accounts. Yet Col’s problem is not one of the Lassie’s his mum was throwing at him ever took a step in bonnie Scotland! They never took in in the breathtaking highland mountains, forests, beautiful loch’s, romping in the heather where his future sons would be picking thistles for their mum and his wee lassies would be making a bouquet from Scottish wildflowers. It was where he wanted to raise his Scottish bairns in the untamed and jagged land where he ken his heart truly did belong. At first he is a stud in hiding from all the English debutants that only want his title and weatlth. His English mum is annoying him with her demands to have her eldest son in a legal and binding marriage which means he must wed and consummate some wench. If he doesn’t do this nasty deed his family will lose land which only puts more pressure on Col! Plus he really hates being pushed around and told what to do with his life, Ironically he discovers the woman of his dreams quite by accident as a bonny damsel in distress that he saves. Except there is one big problem, this beauty does not want to marry any man! Persephone (Persie) Jones is near perfection! Well not just in looks, but in her mind too, she is intelligent, smart, rich, witty and her own person! Absolutely perfect for Col except one problem, she does not want to depend on any man, as she definitely doesn’t want to marry any man too. Persie is also not a big sharer and is definitely keeping something from Col besides the fact this woman is also in hiding from someone who wants to murder her! It all has to do with her wealth and what she will inherit. So what will Col do to convince this bonnie lass to marry him and share her secrets so he can protect the woman who owns his heart? They both are falling in love but will Col be able to convince Persie that they are each other’s destiny? Read and find out the conclusion of this phenomenal trilogy! I have been reading Suzanne Enoch for a couple decades and she never disappoints. As I always get swept away in her stories, which I never want to put down. Another great thing is you can read any of her stories as a stand alone book too. Plus it is always a fast paced, action packed, page turner filled with a riveting romantic adventure, suspense, mystery, treachery, mayhem, villains, trust, joy, faith and love. I am always a little sad reading the last book in her series, however I hope she is mapping out her next book and Scottish historical series. As the book the setting was exhalation, dialogue was amazing, the multidimensional characters were extraordinary. The plotting just took my breath away and had me gasping for air never knowing what was going to happen next. I definitely recommend this author as she is a big favorite of mine which is always pure enjoyment. Disclaimer: I received an advance reader’s copy from St. Martin’s Press I voluntarily agreed to do an honest, fair review and blog through Netgalley. All thoughts, ideas and words are my own.
  • Wild and Wicked

Coll MacTaggert, Viscount Glendarril, has shown himself to be a Wild Wicked Highlander since he arrived in London. He is handsome, grumpy, and stubborn. He is also intelligent, protective, and responsible. When he escapes one more of his mother’s attempts to help him find a wife, he meets Persephone Jones, the famous actress. She is independent, beautiful, intelligent, talented, and caring. Coll, fed up with his mother’s meddling, tells her that he has chosen a bride, Mrs. Persephone Jones. This news was not well received. This easy read has a bit of everything, drama (on and off the stage), secrets (Persephone has a pretty big one), danger, and an attempt or two to murder the heroine. There is also a large dose of humor and a terrific love story. Coll and Persie are just right for each other. All the MacTaggerts are here, including Angus, adding to fun. This is an entertaining series, and with this one Hit Me with Your Best Scot. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

This intriguing historical romance is nothing short of captivating! This story has so many wonderful layers. If you want a story that’s going to fill you up and make you happy, that’s entertaining with just the right amount of spice and filled with a ton of love, this is it. The emotions displayed by the main character...have an intensity that will have readers wanting more. Oh these two... I knew before I opened this book I’d love it. The author’s writing is flawless. I have become a huge fan of this series and the McTaggert brothers, but I have been waiting for Coll McTaggerts’ story since the beginning and this didn’t disappoint. This strapping, sexy, wear his heart on his sleeve, put-it-all-out-there Scot will steal your heart as he pushes away every other suitor from Mrs. Persephone Jones. An actress who has already broken half of the Lords hearts in London. But what starts out as just a game he is playing with his mother to upset her, and give him more time to find his own woman, becomes so much more. When someone starts trying to kill Mrs Jones he soon finds himself as her protector. And as they spend more time around each other their feelings are unexpected. Delectable. Fascinating. Mesmerizing. Addictive. Trouble. Their story is full of witty banter, humor, warmth, intrigue, romance and best of all a HEA. Absolutely feel in love with this story.

4.5-5 Stars!! This was yet another great book by Suzanne Enoch!! The entire series ‘Wild Wicked Highlanders’ has been memorable! I’ve loved every book. I highly recommend any book in this series & very highly recommend reading ALL of them. They can be read as a standalone but I think it’s best to read them all, in order. I’m not sure if there is going to be more in this series but I hope so. I want to know what happens to the MacTaggerts & this book didn’t have an epilogue, so fingers crossed! This book has it all - mystery, suspense, surprises, romance, sexy times, heroic actions & a strong female main character! Coll & Persephone were great main characters. And this was an amazing book. I still have a few unanswered questions and I’d love another book or novella to wrap it all up! Either way, I HIGHLY recommend this book & the other 2 books in the series! *I am voluntarily leaving a review for an ARC that was provided to me by NetGalley!*

I absolutely loved this book. I laughed so hard at times while reading this. Coll is just wonderful. It’s his turn to find a wife he thinks he doesn’t really want, until he meets his match. Now he has to find out who wants to take Persephone away from him just when he’s found her.
