I was eagerly awaiting this story and it didn’t disappoint. I was completely captivated by this intriguing, fun, entertaining, opposites-attract, slow burn, regency historical romance. Michael Bromley, the Duke of Woriton, was a man who spent his time doing science experiments, instead of dealing with Society and Ton events. When his Aunt leaves to go visit a friend she leaves her beloved poodle Lancelot with him. Walking in Hyde Park with her dog, this grumpy Duke finds himself wet and in the serpent river after a run in with the beautiful, sunshine “Bitsy” Lady Elizabeth Dockering the diamond of the season and her poodle Galahad. What follows is an accidental dog swapping, a dog napping, and an unlikely partnership. As well as a villain in their midst! This was filled with witty banter, snarky barbs, stolen moments, mystery and pounding hearts. This story had me laughing out loud and smiling as this story and their romance swept me away. This story was filled with fantastic characters, from the hero and heroine to their precious pets and the secondary characters. All being crafted so well that it you either loved them or disliked them. Will these two opposites solve the mystery that has brought them together? I adored this delightful story!

This was a delightful read. Two opposites attract when they get thrown together with a dog mixup. Their interaction is wonderful and they soon find out they can’t live without each other. 5*

What a fun historical rom-com read. A brilliant, but antisocial Duke only devotes his time in his workshop. When his aunt asks and makes him promise to watch her poodle and take him for walks he grumpily agrees. Fulfilling his promise Michael takes Lancelot out for a stroll only to be accosted by another black poodle and wind up in the Serpentine. Dripping wet and tangled in leashes he has a word or two for the beautiful owner of the other black poodle. Grabbing the leash Elizabeth apologize for her dog's bad behavior and unknowingly grabbing the wrong dog. The start of a series of mishaps, dog napping, persistent man who doesn’t take no for an answer, finding there is more to life then what’s in his workshop and finding their HEA. Such a fun, clean romance story. I truly enjoyed reading the adventures of Michael and Bitsy. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #EveryDukeHasHisDay #SuzanneEnoch #SMPRomance #StMartinsPress
