Being a red headed dog trainer from Puget Sound myself, and one who loves rugged broody men and crime novels, I just had to read this. It sounded like it was written just for me. And I’ve like Nora Robert’s in the past. I was so disappointed. I’ve never read anything so boring. Absolutely nothing happens until 80% in. And even then the ending was so anti-climactic. There’s no mystery. No unexpected twists. No wondering who the killer may be. Just a lot of dog training tips and Fiona and Simon’s borderline toxic relationship. So much dialogue, very little action. Zero surprises.

I could not stop reading this book! It has it all-love, passion, warmth, humor, and intrigue. Well written!

I have been a huge fan of her work for some time and have read serveral of her books but this one has to be one of my favorite I can read it hundreds of times and still enjoy it like it was the first time!

Good read with enough heat to turn the page. Drags in places but always moves the reader forward.

Once you start reading this book you will not or can not put it down. Suspense in every page. Keeps you sitting on edge every page. And the romance just keeps going along. One of the best books I have ever read.

One of her best books! Loved the rescue dogs! Heartwarming and interesting to the very end.

I enjoyed this book because of the drama and suspense.

Fiona was a strong brave woman that had endured more than I could have. Of course it helps when you find a love and have family to love and support you. It had amazing twist and turns that kept you off balance, but in the end came together nicely. The narrators were perfect for this book, they had energy that kept you listening.

First Nora Roberts book I've read, and I'm hooked. Great story line, and found myself laughing out loud and totally swept up in the store. Didn't want to put it down.

If you are looking to train your dog, look no further, cause this book is for you. Roberts knowledge of dog and puppy training is vast, even specialized search and rescue training as she details the exercises emphatically and over and over and over and over again throughout this elite book on dog training. Correction, reward, proper human to dog interaction, how to be the pack leader, this book leaves no stone unturned. Oh, and somebody is murdering women and there's some romance or something going on in there too....
