Description
A canine Search and Rescue volunteer fights danger and finds love in the Pacific Northwest wilderness in this riveting #1 New York Times bestseller from Nora Roberts.
To most people, Fiona Bristow seems to have an idyllic life—a quaint house on an island off Seattle’s coast, a thriving dog-training school and a challenging volunteer job performing Canine Search and Rescue. But Fiona got to this point by surviving a nightmare: an encounter with the Red Scarf Killer, who shot and killed Fiona’s cop fiancé and his K-9 partner.
On Orcas Island, Fiona has found the peace and solitude necessary to rebuild her life with her three loyal Labs. But all that changes on the day intensely private wood artist Simon Doyle barrels up her drive with an out-of-control puppy, desperate for her help.
As Fiona embarks on training Jaws, and Simon begins to appreciate both dog and trainer, the past tears back into Fiona’s life. A copycat killer has emerged out of the shadows, a man whose bloodlust has been channeled by a master with one motive: to reclaim the woman who slipped out of his hands...

Yawn
1By Redd628462Being a red headed dog trainer from Puget Sound myself, and one who loves rugged broody men and crime novels, I just had to read this. It sounded like it was written just for me. And I’ve like Nora Robert’s in the past. I was so disappointed. I’ve never read anything so boring. Absolutely nothing happens until 80% in. And even then the ending was so anti-climactic. There’s no mystery. No unexpected twists. No wondering who the killer may be. Just a lot of dog training tips and Fiona and Simon’s borderline toxic relationship. So much dialogue, very little action. Zero surprises.Great Read!

5By TZ in VAGood read with enough heat to turn the page. Drags in places but always moves the reader forward. No need to search for suspense...
5By ES the horror fanThat title is right. If you love romantic suspense, and you’re looking for a great book that delivers both, if you’re looking for an author who can really tell a story, your search is over! There’s a reason Nora Roberts has such a huge fanbase, why she is one of the most popular novelists in America! The Search proves why! Simon and Fiona make a great couple, providing plenty of romance with every other chapter. In a suspenseful plot about a copycat serial killer, readers are treated to a storyline that offers suspense so thick you could cut it with a knife, a plot line that offers such a suspenseful, chilling, intriguing mystery that you won’t be able to stop guessing right up until the story’s frightening climax. This is not only a great book about family; it’s also a wonderful story for dog lovers! For fans of powerful romance and electrifying suspense, this book will keep you begging for more!👍🏻👍🏻The Search
