1By DriadtCouldn’t even bring myself to finish it. The characters are BORING or worse just plain unlikeable, especially Lila. The story itself is completely far fetched and there is a huge plot hole. I won’t spoil it but will just say the two main characters could have gotten themselves out of harm’s way in the first half of the book by just letting the police handle it. I am shocked this book has the ratings it does.The collector

2By Lilpeach29The concept for the book is okay, and is evening exciting at parts. The main issue is that the dialogue is awful, the characters are relatable and are so one dimensional. It's almost painful to read parts where they're speaking to each other because all I could think was, no one talks like that! I'm generally a Nora Roberts fan, so I'm not sure why this book seems less realistic and true to form than usual. I would also add that parts of the plot, especially in the beginning, take HUGE leaps that it expects you to just go along with. For example, the two main characters meet unexpectedly, by just happening to be in the same place at the same time, then happen to be followed by the killer for a reason that is loose at best, then become soul mates in like three days, and begin an adventure?? Sorry but it just didn't work for me. I keep having to make myself finish reading.So boring!!

Different names (sometimes even the names are the same) but always about some independent woman quickly falls for handsome man who saves the day.
