I read the whole book, and I still don't know if her name was Miss Larner or Miss Lamer, it was spelled each way equally as often. There were a few sentences that took me minutes to discern, because of their typos. I assume this was an OCR transcript, but golly nothing pulls me out of a story like a typo. We're talking several per page sometimes, and I would guess numbering in the hundreds. This is a pretty price to pay for a digital book with so many mistakes. Does the print version have less?
  • Another great addition to the series

This book spends much of its time developing Peggy's character in-depth and introduces an intriguing new character, young Arthur Stewart, the child of a runaway slave who becomes like a little brother to Alvin. Just as previous books address tension and healing between red and white man, this book brings in the African American experience during the founding of america.
