Very good. Enjoyed the analogies. Dekker gets edgy sometimes and thus was violent at several parts.

Kept me hooked till the very end. Brilliant.

I couldn't wait for this to finally come out! Ted Dekker never let's me down. This whole series is unlike anything I've ever read. Amazing! Can't wait for the next one???????

I've read many books, I've been intrigued by many stories, and I've grown attached to many characters- but no book or series has ever captured my intrigue the way The Books of Mortals has. An epic conclusion to a phenomenal series, Sovereign reminds you of, perhaps the cliched, but very real power of love. . Much like many of the famed books of recent eras, The Books of Mortals is not entirely plot based, but forms itself around a thesis and setting unique to human ears. In this case, the central thesis of the series relies on the idea that it is not pulse that defines life, but rather our emotions. Many times I've asked myself the simple question, "what would the world be like if desire ceased to exist?" This book provides the answer. Life is based upon the very things that define both our greatest failures, and most wonderful successes. Desire may lead us to our ruin, or it may drive us to our peak, an idea that is clearly stated behind a thickening plot and stunning display of artistry. . Unlike the famed works of Orwell or authors of the sort, philosophical value is not all that Sovereign retains. Dekker and Lee portray their images with defined clarity through skilled writing and a broad but not too complex use of diction. Along with picture perfect images portrayed through words, the duo manages to produce an engaging story with dynamic plot twists and useful, while not bothersome lessons in life. It has been my observation that most authors who attempt to apply a moral or idealogical application to their stories do not do so without detracting from the value of their plot. This is not the case with Sovereign, as through and through, the plot will have you begging for insight of what lies ahead. . My reviews are not always so sweet, but in this case, I do believe the book deserves five stars. It represents a perfect balance between philosophy, detail, and plot. Perfection.

I freaking can't wait for this book!!!!! I am going to buy it ASAP!!! I mean I'm the second biggest Ted Dekker fan ( My older brother is biggest )!!
