FROM THE BACK COVER:
Who am I?

My name is Christy Snow. I'm seventeen and I'm about to die.

I'm buried in a coffin under tons of concrete. No one knows where I am. My heart sounds like a monster with clobber feet, running straight toward me. I'm lying on my back, soaked with sweat from the hair on my head to the soles of my feet. My hands and feet won't stop shaking.

Some will say that I m not really here. Some will say I'm delusional. Some will say that I don t even exist. But who are they? I'm the one buried in a grave.

My name is Christy Snow. I'm seventeen. I'm about to die.

So who are you?

In a return to the kind of storytelling that made Black, Showdown and Three unforgettable, Ted Dekker drags that question into the light with this modern day parable about how we see ourselves.

Humming with intensity and blindsided twists, Eyes Wide Open is raw adrenaline from the first page to the last pure escapism packed with inescapable truth. Not all is as it seems. Or is it? Strap yourself in for the ride of your life. Literally.

If I'd known this was really just pure religious dogma I never would have bothered. It had an interesting storyline until it started to preach.

So this book really grabbed me in. Then I got to the last few chapters and I was super disappointed in how the whole explanation to their situation was....I don’t even know. A spiritual Christian test?? I was let down by the ending for sure. Everything until the end was gripping.

One of the worst series I have ever read. Started out interesting and turned into one of the worst books ever. Will never read Dekker again!

I first read the sample and thought it might be a fascinating read. So I spilled for it. So far, about 2/3rds through and the story just replays itself. If this is Dekkar at his best, well so long.
  • Started off great...

Enjoyed the first part of the story, kept me on my toes and constantly thinking. I purchased the 2-4 books because I enjoyed the confusion of the first ... But by the fourth book, the story took a bizarre turn that made understanding near to impossible. The author had a chance for a great mind, bending twist but strayed so far from reality or even fiction, that it ruined the whole story and never even concluded in a reasonable manner. In the end, wasn't with the money; left dazed and confused.

Maybe I am not smart enough to read this book. I feel like I wasted 2 days of my life.

It started so well, and ended so badly. I was waiting for a realistic ending that never came. By book 4 the characters seemed so unreasonable that I didn't even care if they were going to get out; I just wanted the book to end. Would not read this author again.

The book started off pretty good, with a interesting but a story line I could follow. Towards the end I was left confused and unsure of the point or conclusion of the story.
  • Such a waste of time and money!!!

The book started so good- interesting, breathtakingly, and in the end all of the sudden you realize that its just some sectarian trying to make you believe in crazy unreal thoughts of his own!!!! So disappointed... Worst book ever, Ted Dekker is way to religious, should of notified right on the cover of the book- for religious sectarians!!!!
