Description

Eyes Wide Open is the mind-bending thrill ride from New York Times bestselling author Ted Dekker, which can be experienced THREE different ways. You choose:

1. As an episodic story. Read Eyes Wide Open as four shorter sequential "episodes" much like your favorite TV show. The ride starts with IDENTITY which is in ebooks. Think of it as the pilot. If you like the story, continue with MIRRORS, UNSEEN and the grand finale, SEER. Begin the story now. Or…

2. Read it as a single, novel length eBook. Don't want to read four episodes? No problem. At any point, you can get the entire story in one digital edition that collects all four episodes into one seamless story called EYES WIDE OPEN. Or...

3. Get the paperback or audiobook. For those who love the smell and feel of paper, Eyes Wide Open is also available in paperback. For those who prefer to listen instead, there's also an audiobook.

FROM THE BACK COVER:

Who am I?

My name is Christy Snow. I'm seventeen and I'm about to die.

I'm buried in a coffin under tons of concrete. No one knows where I am. My heart sounds like a monster with clobber feet, running straight toward me. I'm lying on my back, soaked with sweat from the hair on my head to the soles of my feet. My hands and feet won't stop shaking.

Some will say that I m not really here. Some will say I'm delusional. Some will say that I don t even exist. But who are they? I'm the one buried in a grave.

My name is Christy Snow. I'm seventeen. I'm about to die.

So who are you?

In a return to the kind of storytelling that made Black, Showdown and Three unforgettable, Ted Dekker drags that question into the light with this modern day parable about how we see ourselves.

Humming with intensity and blindsided twists, Eyes Wide Open is raw adrenaline from the first page to the last pure escapism packed with inescapable truth. Not all is as it seems. Or is it? Strap yourself in for the ride of your life. Literally.

Not my favorite Ted Dekker books. I feel a little ripped off buying these books separately. This could of easily been put in a single or two book set. The story seemed to drag on

I'm thrilled to see the message of complete acceptance of / surrender to all that is as it is in such a creatively done manner. With much appreciation and gratitude, from a fellow outlaw who hopes to creatively bring this message to light (to children for starters) in my own way, Michelle

This book is one of the most incredible books I've ever read. So much detail and knowledge and passion and mystery, you just can't put it down! Can't wait for Water Walker!
  • Sloppy tie-ins

I was impressed with the first few parts, but I suppose in trying to finish the story, Dekker felt the need to tie in a separate series written all of 4 years ago, making it appear like he is trying to supply with twists in the plot , but in the end making it desperate and frankly , lame . Extremely disappointed .
  • Stellar series with a crap ending.

So there I was, busy thinking how cool and thought-provoking this series was. Then it occurred to me: "How on earth will he wrap this up?!" But hey, I've always liked Dekker's stories. I trusted that he'd come up with some brilliant clever ending. Well, I no longer have any faith in Mr. Dekker. The ending was nonsensical, VERY much Deus ex machina, and only wrapped up the story for Christy. I'd say that at least there's closure by getting the last book, but dang, even that's being nice. On a side note, if you we're expecting any Christian tie-ins, similar to Dekker's not-so-recent books, you can look elsewhere. This finale felt rushed, desperate for an endings, and made me feel cheated out of a good story.
  • 4 pack of goodness.

I happen to think this series was wonderful and well written. Don't think I've ever read a book(s) so fast. Very hard to put down, thought provoking through out all 4. Good job! Can't wait till the next book...
