What a great ending to this series. Finally all Carson’s secrets and history are revealed. When Carson meets special education teacher Grace the attraction is instant but they want different things in their lives. The Brothers of Fire and Grace force Carson to see that he needs to open his heart and let others in to be truly happy. Ms Shay packs so much action and the interworkings of firehouse in her stories, it makes for an interesting read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. I would give this 10 stars if I could. The entire series is one that shouldn't be missed. I feel so connected to them. I hate to see this one end. I savored each word. Turned the pages slowly. I didn't want to finish as it would be saying good-bye to some really great friends. While you could read this as a stand-alone and enjoy it, I highly recommend reading them in order. The dynamics of the Brothers of Fire really grow and shine in each book. This is written in a dual POV format. Getting into the characters' thoughts really help me to understand and connect with them so much better. That is really necessary with Carson. He is the most stand-offish of the group. In fact, he left the group back in the beginning book (I think but I have a horrible memory!) I really need to re-read this series, one right after the other. I have been looking forward to Carson's story for awhile now. I could not wait to see who he would be attracted to. Ms. Shay didn't disappoint with this story. Carson was true Carson. It was a challenge for Grace (she really was full of grace!) I adored this story. I loved the Epilogue that was included at the end. Reading about the other Brothers of Fire and their families in the last additional year, really was a great ending to the series. I am very sad to see the end of this wonderful series. There were some sexy times BUT the author really glossed over the details. Saying that I would highly recommend this to anyone of consenting age.

Coming In Hot The Brothers of Fire show their tight bonds again with this story about Carson who has tried very hard to keep to himself and not become involved with anyone, male or female. He meets and falls for Grace, a Special Ed teacher who refuses to let his fears destroy their relationship. With a side story about a foster child this book really hits at this readers heart.

Coming in Hot is book 6 and the final one in the Brothers of Fire series by Kathryn Shay. We have read about Carson throughout this series and now it’s his time to find what the others brothers have found…love. Grace and Carson are total opposites but something keeps drawing them together. Will they pursue a relationship just burn out? Will Carson open up to the Brothers of Fire,get back into this amazing group of men who offer friendship, have your back, lend an ear, intervention when needed and so much more..only time will tell… I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from the author. This book is appropriately titled as the book is fast paced. Alas, we finally have Carson’s story. He seems to be the most wounded of the Brothers of Fire by how he deals with his pain. I feel he has met his match with Grace, a no nonsense, but strong woman. While they come together quickly they both know what they want out of life and that is at odds in their relationship. Kathryn Shay has once again given us a quick but heartfelt 5 star read. I love this last and healing story in the Brothers of Fire series.

4.5 stars Carson likes to keep his friendships and relationships stuck on the surface. He doesn’t care about communication and he has a few insecurities and jealousies as well. He lost his best friend years earlier, and since then, he has vowed to not care that deeply about anyone. However, Grace gets to him. Somehow she works her way into his heart, and he doesn’t want to let her go. She teaches special ed students in a middle school, but she’s also very aware of the ways we are harming our environment, she is a vegetarian, and she volunteers at a shelter for foster kids. Since Carson lives in a mansion and loves expensive clothes and cars, he is finding it hard to believe anything could possibly work between him and Grace. Nevertheless, the interest is present with both of them. This is the final entry in the Brothers of Fire series. Carson has been staying away from their gatherings because of his fear of sharing anything meaningful with them, but he needs their support more than ever, even when he’s unaware of it. They haven’t forgotten him, and invite him to their gatherings, but he has stayed away until now. With a little nudge from Grace, Carson is able to understand things a little better. When Grace gets pulled in an unexpected direction, things get dicey for a while. This story is compelling and is hard to put down. The pace is spot on, and the tension is moderate. These are complex protagonists with some baggage. Yet Grace has a giving heart and Carson wants Grace. They eventually figure it out, and the community gets stronger as a result.

A story that pulls you in when Captain Taylor first see's Grace. He not afraid of most anything, except love. They are opposites, how love changes things in this delightful story and good series. Given arc for my voluntary review
