5By hnobbsI absolutely love the Chicago Slayers series, I find a new book boyfriend in every book. Ben “Boomer” Boerboom is fighting his feelings towards his new roommate. He has been in love with her since high school even if he tried to deny it to himself in the 8 years since he last saw her. Lara was Ben’s best friend in high school and she kept her crush on him to herself too. When Lara temporarily moved in with Ben when she moved to Chicago for her job they agreed that they would be friends like they were back in high school, before prom. That friendship was hard for both of them because they kept trying to keep their hidden feelings to themselves thinking it was what they other wanted. It was great seeing Ben and Lara fall for each other all over again, they were great friends and a great couple. It was great to see Piper and Bowie again and also see Ben’s friendship with Static grow. This is a great series and I am looking forward to Static’s story next.All of the feels, LOL romance
