Description

Friends vs. Family is the third book in The Academy Ghost Bird Series.

Sang Sorenson is forced to suffer through another of her mother's extreme punishments.  It almost kills her. The Academy boys vow it will be the last.  They're determined to keep Sang safe, especially from her own family.

Their solution: complete invasion of her life.

Kota, Luke, Silas, Nathan, Victor, Gabriel and North do everything within their power to show Sang what true loyalty means.  It takes more than blood to make a family and they want Sang in theirs.

In this third book of The Academy series Sang experiences a taste of freedom and what it's like to truly be cared for...to be wanted.  Sang learns a bit more about the boys' broken families and the boys discover more than they could ever have bargained for about Sang's. The Academy was the answer to their problems. Could it be hers?

Sang's actions will force her mother to reveal a startling truth.  A truth that will change Sang's life and the boys' lives in unpredictable ways.  Forever.

Read the book in two days, loved it, this is where things get juicy. Can’t read the next one, C.L. Stone knows what she is doing for sure, eyes guled to the pages and totally recommend.

I have read this book 4 times now, so some spelling mistakes obviously didn't upset me. This time, there wasn't any mistakes. It is nicely edited and frankly it's worth more $$. I would gladly pay more for these books because they are wonderful and I am so addicted to c l stone.

I try to hide/ignore the newest book for as long as I can. I know I will read it in a day or two and then I go a little crazy without it right after. Because I know that I won't have another dose for a while. Ahhh, the suspense! I'm still waiting for the next audio book. The first one was great. She really found the greatest voices. Okay, now back to waiting...

This series is very intriguing but for me has 1 big flaw. That is the language. The F word is used a lot. And it doesn't need to be. That's why the 3 stars

Well written, great plot, drawn out story. There are far too many unnecessary details in this book. When there were plot twists the detail is much appreciated. The rest of the time you read every detail of the characters hour spent not adding much to the story. I could skip a few pages and just assume Sang spent it holding hands, snuggling, and one step away from not being so innocent with anyone of her male friends at anytime. If you cut out the unnecessary pages you could fit 5 books into one.
  • Emotional Read

This was a very emotional read, the monstrosities the main female lead goes through at the hands of someone whose job is to protect, love and guide is criminal it's sad to read about how she complies so easily for fear of the safety of those she cares for and herself, because the maltreatment she suffers turn deadly quickly. I was proud though when the female lead finally begins to stand her ground against her abusers. Though the determination, devotion and love the male leads all show towards her is so amazing and kind, they don't hesitate to use their status to benefit and aid their female lead for her protection. The growing relationships and bonds between them all is finally getting a little blurry and i'm finding it quite entertaining, but also how is one of chose between such gentlemen of the academy. This book shows signs of abuse, neglect and mentioned of rape towards the end that might be difficult for some readers.
