I had enjoyed most of the books in this series until this one (aside from all the “honey,” “sweetheart,” and “baby” endearments, which I read over now to keep from rolling my eyes). The heroine is completely annoying especially all of her cursing and stubbornness. Also her “oh no I regret this” after every sexual encounter was off putting. Her possibly becoming a nun was extremely far fetched. She didn’t have the character.WOC are desirable and can sell books
4By Kiraz76I love all the stories. But it would be nice if at least one main female characters were a woman of color and not mixed race (i.e. half AA/half white, half Asian/half white, half Native American/half white). It sends the message that a woman of color and in particular a dark skinned WOC can not be desirable unless she is mixed with Caucasian DNA. The ability for women of color to be the leading love interest can sell books just as well as any other women whether mixed, biracial, or Caucasian. I’m super hungry for a dark brown skinned woman to be portrayed as the beautiful, desirable women that we are. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment.
