“This book blew me away, completely. Gripping from page one, I—quite literally—couldn’t put it down.”—Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling author of The Unhoneymooners
Growing up, Mallory Dodge learned that the best way to survive was to say nothing. And even though it’s been four years since her nightmare ended, she’s beginning to worry that the fear that holds her back will last a lifetime. Now, after years of homeschooling, Mallory must face a new milestone—spending her senior year at a public high school. But she never imagined she’d run into Rider Stark, the friend and protector she hasn’t seen since childhood, on her very first day.
It doesn’t take long for Mallory to realize that the connection she shared with Rider never really faded. Yet soon it becomes apparent that she’s not the only one grappling with lingering scars from the past. And as she watches Rider’s life spiral out of control, Mallory must make a choice between staying silent and speaking out—for the people she loves, the life she wants and the truths that need to be heard.

5By JayBird1691This book is just… I can’t explain!!! This is definitely one of my top favorite books. The long lost friendship to a new couple is just phenomenal. The way the author uses past and present is sometimes hard to keep up with but the books details overrule it. Definitely worth my money!!!The Problem with Forever

4By Katiekoz4.5☆ This book is different from the other stuff that JLA writes, but it's still her writing so of course I'm gonna like it. Mallory and Rider are such interesting and complex characters that have been through so much already in their lives. I loved reading about Mallory and how she progressed and grew as a person throughout the book. JLA does such a good job with writing her characters and making me feel for them. I instantly empathized with Mallory and Rider. I can't even imagine having to go through what they had to face and coming out of it ok. I love Rider! He is such a good and sweet guy who only wants the absolute best for the people he cares about. I loved the ending, it was really cute and touching and I'm very happy with where Mallory and Rider are in life. The Problem With Forever

5By iAmNancy_If you're the type of person that just wants to get to the point in romance, don't read this book. But if you're interested in reading this book and aren't so sure... PLEASE READ IT. The build up of this book is so worth it in the end. By far this is the most raw and realist book of 2016, talking about the hardships of Mallory and other Kids around her including Rider. Paige may not be the most likable character but i can definitely sympathize with her. Overall such a journey filling book, that is great for summer/small reading. Very steamy and beautiful. (:Fav
5By Lindsey_with_an_eThis books bring out so much emotionsWonderful.
5By Mindy HacheFrom the beginning, I could not put this book down. I read it in six hours, yes, six hours. It is filled with the realness and rawness that unfortunately some experience along with love, laughter and a fight to break out of ones shell. The characters are beautifully written, making you immediately drawn to them. I would have loved to see where everyone was a year or two down the line but either way I felt it was beautifully written for a young adult book. Would definitely recommend this read. I look forward to reading more of Jennifer Armentrout's work.Heartbreaking but also heartwarming
3By Boundless Book ReviewsThe Problem with Forever, is the first book I’ve read of Armentrout’s. I see her books everywhere and was ready to fall into one. The Problem with Forever is at times hard to digest. Mallory went through so much. She had Rider to protect her, through the worst parts of her life. Though, I felt that this story was heartbreaking but also heartwarming. I never fell into the characters. I didn’t find the connection with them that I desperately wanted. It’s a good/enjoyable story of a girl who turned from this meek little mouse, to a girl who knew what she wanted. Who wasn’t afraid to fight for what she wanted. Some things just seemed a little glossed over. Like, oh yeah this happened but there was no emotional pull for me. I was honestly, slightly disappointed because I truly wanted to love this. The writing is done well, the characters develop through out the story. The story itself was intriguing and I wanted to see what happened next. Overall, I give this book Three Boundless Stars. It was a good story....LissaRider & Mallory <3
5By Elizabeth ThieleThis book was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Jennifer L. Armentrout wrote a YA book that will take your breath away and surface all of your emotions. Rider & Mallory were great characters and their story is one of hardship, letting go, forgiveness & healing. I fell in love with these characters as soon as I read the first page. Mallory is broken on the inside and she has a lot of healing and growing to do, but she is still strong. She survived a horrendous situation and the fact that she is getting up everyday and doing something that she never thought she would do, shows how much strength her character has. Rider definitely made my swoon a bit!! He is so protective of Mallory and I love that he never gave up on her, but he gave up on himself. Rider acts like everything is okay, but on the inside he is hurting and broken. I love his strength and the fact that he puts those he loves above himself, but there comes a time when you need to put yourself above others. The connection between these two characters was unlike anything else. Even after being separated for years, when they see each other again, it's like nothing has changed. They are there for each other and I love that, even without them knowing, they were helping each other move on from the past and start looking toward the future. The amount of love that Rider & Mallory have for each other made my heart burst. They may have been young, but they were old souls. I loved Hector, Ainsley, Jayden, Keira, Carl & Rosa. They all held a significant part in this book and in Rider & Mallory's lives. My heart broke and my tears came fast and heavy with what this group of family and friends went through. That significant event changed everyone and brought new thoughts into their minds. Paige was not my favorite person, but I understood why she was so hard. This book is one of my favorites of 2016!! Jennifer L. Armentrout really knows how to write a story line that will hook you and characters that will feel like your best friends. I am really really really hoping that Ainsley & a certain someone get a book!! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants the meaning of real love and letting go of the past to be able to move forward.the Problem with Forever... is Forever doesn't last... it's what you want Forever to be
