Description
Bow Before Your Queen Or Bleed Before Her…
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout comes book three in her Blood and Ash series.
She's been the victim and the survivor…
Poppy never dreamed she would find the love she’s found with Prince Casteel. She wants to revel in her happiness but first they must free his brother and find hers. It’s a dangerous mission and one with far-reaching consequences neither dreamed of. Because Poppy is the Chosen, the Blessed. The true ruler of Atlantia. She carries the blood of the King of Gods within her. By right the crown and the kingdom are hers.
The enemy and the warrior…
Poppy has only ever wanted to control her own life, not the lives of others, but now she must choose to either forsake her birthright or seize the gilded crown and become the Queen of Flesh and Fire. But as the kingdoms’ dark sins and blood-drenched secrets finally unravel, a long-forgotten power rises to pose a genuine threat. And they will stop at nothing to ensure that the crown never sits upon Poppy’s head.
A lover and heartmate…
But the greatest threat to them and to Atlantia is what awaits in the far west, where the Queen of Blood and Ash has her own plans, ones she has waited hundreds of years to carry out. Poppy and Casteel must consider the impossible—travel to the Lands of the Gods and wake the King himself. And as shocking secrets and the harshest betrayals come to light, and enemies emerge to threaten everything Poppy and Casteel have fought for, they will discover just how far they are willing to go for their people—and each other.
And now she will become Queen…

My Goodness
5By creep34cupIf I could give it more stars I would. Excellent story telling. I was entranced. I hung on every word. I mean, SEEIOUSLY!!! I love this series.Pace stinks.
2By Teddy in ChicagoJust repetitive and slow moving. Too much romance talk and it’s all so repetitive, devoid of action. Couldn’t get through it.A filler book
1By madyson mackenzidI read through the first two books immediately. This third book dragggsss. A lot more could have been cut in the editing process of this book. Wish I could finish it!Garbage
1By steffisaurusrexUtter garbage. She cannot keep track of the needlessly complicated rules she invented and has to continue to come up with even more nonsense that doesn’t add up with the first two books. This series has gone off the rails. Do not waste your timeBest series ever
5By goodluckplayer1This is the best series I have ever read. Moving on to book 4 “Shadow in the Ember” it’s the 2 series coming together and read in publication order. The Crown of Gilded Bones
4By zoesampoochieThe first two books in series were fun. Beginning to drag. Story still good.Good! Could be better.
3By Josh lover foreverI had to repick this book up twice in order to finish it. Felt like a lot of monologue and sex. Which, is good in moderation, but it felt like a lot. The main story profession is great, but definitely lacks cohesion.Recommend
5By Jenobles1Amazing and heartbreaking cliffhangerGreat series!
5By Ashlyn489I love this whole series. I can’t put it down. You made it this far
5By AlyssaRayBKeeeeeep going ! Love it.Mostly Filler
2By Jess DreaThis book was exceedingly long for no reason. Lots of nothing happened which I’m convinced was only written to meet some sort of word count. Poppy’s lineage is debated throughout the book and it’s drawn out. The conflict between both kingdoms is messily explained. It also seems like some things were added to be plot twists but they come off flat, likely because the reader is already thinking of every possibility since nothing is happening. The idea that Poppy is x but no she’s actually y but really she’s actually z is so completely exhausting. This book could have easily been 400 pages but was pushed to nearly 1200. AND THERES STILL TWO MORE BOOKS IN THE SERIES.Intense and exciting
5By doejessLove this author. She takes you on a journey and you can almost see the landscape and people. Great series! I’ve read a book a week which is a lot for me. A great next read after the 4th wing and Iron Flame.COULDNT PUT IT DOWN
5By mfwatson17so far my favorite in the series, absolutely fantastic- the plot twists left my jaw hanging for hoursAmazing!
1By Etniejay8991From the well-developed characters, to the rich fantasy world, this book series has me hooked!Boring!
3By EllsackPacing was a big issue. A lot of the same conversations. Took way to long to get to the plot.Solid and unexpected
4By duhletsOverall very good, a bit slow though the middle, and the monologues are getting a bit drawn out. Overall the story is pretty solid though, definitely unexpected.Solid.
4By MCSTAMEYA bit slow in some parts, but I do appreciate the background and lore in this book. Obsessed with the series, I just didn’t fly through this one as fast. Still amazing.Should have stopped with 2nd Book
2By 8nobodygotime4thatThis book rambles on and on just repeating the same crap over and over again. I found myself skipping through whole chapters just to get to anything of significance.Wonderful read!
5By Kiki088Loved every line in this book.
