Description

Book Two of the bestselling Lux series

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon's determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I've sworn him off, even though he's running more hot than cold these days. But we've got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense is here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I'm a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who's got a secret of his own. He knows what's happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I've seen someone who shouldn't be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he's never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

I’m recovering from motion sickness with all the teenage hormones in this book , lust , insecurity , guilt , loneliness , love etc . It was a good story and you get what you get for a ‘teen’ book . A young teenage loves blossoming ( spoiler - no sex scenes !) Not sure if I can keep up with the angst on this series but I am a fan of Jennifers books and will keep trying !

Never thought I’d be reading a book about aliens and loving it. But I’m a sap, and this book is giving, onto oblivion. Reading is making me broke.

It’s a love hate with Katy she is trying to decide on her own and have courage and it’s a hard thing to see her fail at her many attempts of taking control of her life and making the right calls but that’s how some people learn as you’ll read that through the worst is how someone finally learn.

Ok I like to start this off by saying who ever edit this book needs to get fired like for real. Second of all Katy really got on my nerves in this book because daemon pretty much contest his feelings for her and she keeps denying it saying no you don't want me and all of that. It really getting on my nerves. But I have read the whole series and it is good overall but this book Bruh if I could just skip it I would but I can't so....

The first book in this series was okay so I thought I'd give the second book a read. That was a mistake. There are so many things wrong with this book it would take too long to write it all down, so I will highlight the most annoying. Firstly, Katy is stupid. It's not that she doesn't act without thought, it's that her thought process makes no sense whatsoever. This results in pretty much all of the conflicts in the novel. Also, the statements made in this book made me cringe. "I hate layered food." Really? That is a ridiculous and radical opinion. Especially since Katy eats ice cream cake(but only the middle part!), which is a layer food. Apparently she only likes the middle of the cake. And for some reason her mom got her this cake which Katy doesn't even like. Katy's opinion towards Daemon had me nearly abandon the book. But I paid good money for it so I had to finish it. The "I like him but his feelings aren't real" thing got real old real fast. The author's reasons for not getting together with Daemon other than that made no sense, so I guess that's why it was abused so much. Also, was this book even edited? I mean, maybe the Books version got f'd up, but I had simple grammar mistakes all throughout the novel. There were also contradicting statements literally one sentence apart. It just seemed like this book was written and then quickly read over (if that) before being published. Most importantly, where is Dee? She barely shows up in this book and yet I'm supposed to believe Katy and Dee are best friends. It's not even like they live far apart--Katy and Dee are next door neighbors and yet they hardly interact. Overall, I'd say this book bares an uncanny resemblance to Twilight. If you enjoyed that book, the Lux series is for you. If you hate Twilight, don't waste your money and time on this.

Ok so who edited this book? They should be FIRED. It's like every other page has a major editing mistake. Sad. Book is good though..when I don't have to read back over a sentence that has either misspelled words or grammar issues....
