Money, power, prestige…washout

There is no Plan B for me. I gambled it all on hockey. It’s all I ever wanted, but as the years pass without a call up to the NHL, I have to face the fact that I may have made a losing bet.

I’m the only failed Coulter, and the financial repercussions are coming.

My best friend’s timely breakup with her jerk of a boyfriend leaves her up rent creek with no roommate at just the right time, but it also forces me to confront my other weakness.

Sasha is the only one who still believes in me, so how can I ruin our friendship by acting on my lifelong crush? But the second I have a chance, how can I not? Forget any fight I’ve ever seen on the ice--this is the most dangerous game I’ve ever played.

I can’t lose my best friend, but I will unless I can show her she’s always been my goal.

Loved another one. Fox is adorable as the Hockey Coulter who keeps getting pressured to pursue a sport more in line with the family's accomplishments. He really touched me with his struggles and the surprises keep coming. I am amazed at how Nana Malone is able to create these characters with different issues with the same underlying struggle and do it so well. Another knockout in the wonderful Player series. I can't wait to read the next one.

Genre: Romance - Sports, Friends-to-lovers Stand-alone: Yes Part of a Series: Yes - Book 4 of The Player Series POV: Dual Fox and Sasha Steam Level: Rather Toasty 5/5 This is the second book I've read by Nana Malone and once I was finished I checked out all of her other books. This is a fun book: witty, smart, and steamy. The topic that Sasha was exploring for her story/paper was fascinating and well-researched. The emotion was just right and it made me want to see more of Fox and Sasha. Because I read Ransom's book in the Hot on Ice Anthology (book 5 of the series) before I read Fox's story I feel like I've been let in on a secret before everyone else. I'm also definitely checking out books 1- 3 to catch up. Although this is book 4 you don't need to read books 1 - 3 to understand the story I just want to. Nana Malone is a great author and I look forward to discovering more of her work. I received an Advanced Copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily giving an honest review.

Nana has written this fourth book in the player series and she does not disappoint. This is fox's and Sasha's story and boy is it good. There is an unbfeakable friendship that turns into more. Fantasies that get fulfilled and what seems to be betrayal. There is also a loving story of friendship and the need to have someone by your side. The sexy times are hot and juicy! Great job Nana!

How do you tell to the must important person in your life, your best friend, that you want to have a different type of relationship with them. Since they where little kids they have been best friends and they know everything about each other and no matter what they are always there for the other, in good times and specially in the bad times. Fox whole world is hockey and his best friend Sasha, without them he is just a failed Coulter. But when a huge disappointment hits him hard, Sasha will prove the true meaning of friendship, she is the only one that can help him get back in track and accomplish everything he ever wanted. Sasha will keep him from destroying himself while he will help her in ways that she can only imagine. There is a true passion for the sport, the news, and specially for each other in this very different, full of twists, and passionate Coulter family story.

What a fox! This is one of the best in this series. The Coulter's are filthy rich but they all have some type of issue that makes them seem like normal real life people. I love best friends to lover themed romance books and the author a great job easing them into the next level of their friendship. They have a few bumps to iron out but both of them realize that at the end of day, this is the person who has always had my back, yes!!! Love, love, love this story!! An excellent addition to the series plus she's planted a seed for the next Coulter mystery just waiting to be solved/revealed.

This is the first book of this series that I have read and I enjoyed it from strart to finish. I felt that the characters Fox and Sasha were well written as they moved from friends to lovers. I enjoyed the plot of this story as it had me hooked right up until the end of their story. I would recommend this book to others.

Friends can be lovers! Lovers can be friends! Cute continuation in the Player Series. These two clearly spent their lives fighting the inevitable. Glad they finally wised up. Am I the only person getting sad that this series is almost over?!

Wow I absolutely loved this book. Fox and Sasha are great together. Friends to lovers is one of my favorites and this was done great. Fox trying to get a spot as a NHL hockey player and Sasha as a reporter was great. I highly recommend this book to anyone. Fox and Sasha are hot together
