5By Racy CarrLet me start by saying I think Evangeline handle writing about someone who had been victimized very well. I think she done an amazing job showing the struggle, fear, anger, guilt, and healing. My heart broke for Emmeline. I feel in love with her in the previous book and felt sorry for her as well. She had went through so much. She truly show no matter what you go through you have the chose to let it completely destroy you or make you stronger. Emmeline was so strong and brave. I swear Evangeline’s Kindreds are alway so hot and sexy and Skahr was no exception. I always love when she introduces a new Kindred race to use. Got to read the book to find out more about his race but I will tell you like all Kindred he truly love and respected women. I love the chemistry between Emmeline and Skahr. Skahr was willing to lay down his life for Emmeline and her son. He will show her so much, teach her so much, and help her break down walls that bind her. This was truly a great story and love this Time Travel stuff the author is bring to the series.
