The story is entertaining and provides multiple events to keep the reader or listener engaged. The characters are likable and relatable. This was a decent start to a series.Too bloody and dark

I found it too bloody and dark. I finally managed to get to the end of it, but I am not looking forward to reading any more in this series. I moved on.Yay

5By BeetlebigLoved this book! Read it in two days. I have only read Anne Rice novels on vampires, but Charlaine Harris does a superb job. Southern charm and humor mixed with murder and hot vampires. Who could ask for more? But you get more. Mind reader and shape shifter. Lol. Great book !Amazing series!

1By Mamma048751269I love the True Blood series. I thought I would try the books to help with my withdrawal. As I read, I couldn't believe how poorly written this book was. The sentence structure is simple and poorly thought out. I fel that this was written for middle schoolers rather than adults.Favorite Series
5By MLE2You know you're starting on a great book when on the first page, the author tells you that vampires have "come out of the coffin". Absolutely wonderful series. Book 4 is my favorite. I'm team Eric!
