A trip to the South Pacific had been in the making for over ten years. With New Zealand as the focal point. It had been delayed many times. The perfect route had been sitting on the hard drive waiting. And then, as it was going to happen, the itinerary had to be changed. The flight routes changed. And the focal point changed. I spent a few weeks planning an alternative, optimal route. Having studied literature and countless websites and listening to many travelling stories about New Zealand, it became clear that this country required a separate, fully dedicated trip. I needed a new focal point. It had to be smaller, much smaller. And yet to it had to be well connected. I picked Tahiti.
This short book describes the author’s personal and unique experiences during his trip. It contains 130 original photographs taken during the trip, descriptions of places to eat, drink, sleep and socialise with the locals.
