Description
In James Patterson's #1 New York Times bestselling thriller, a Texas Ranger fights for his life, his freedom, and the town he loves as he investigates his ex-wife's murder.
Across the ranchlands and cities of his home state, Rory Yates's discipline and law enforcement skills have carried him far: from local highway patrolman to the honorable rank of Texas Ranger. He arrives in his hometown to find a horrifying crime scene and a scathing accusation: he is named a suspect in the murder of his ex-wife, Anne, a devoted teacher whose only controversial act was ending her marriage to a Ranger.
In search of the killer, Yates plunges into the inferno of the most twisted and violent minds he's ever encountered, vowing to never surrender. That code just might bring him out alive.

1By AuntyWordsThis cannot be a James Patterson book. I usually can’t put them down once I start. It is boring, tedious, and not interesting at all. I’m trying to get through it, I’m about halfway through. I will update it if it gets any better but right now I’m just trying to finish it. Ok finished. This was his worst. Will make me think twice about buying another book that he co-writes.Worst Book Patterson Ever Published
1By Rg110647It was hard to determine if this book was murder mystery or a Harlequin romance novel. Rory Yates, ex-football player and now a Texas Ranger cries every other page. The books plot was so boring. I paid for the book so I finished it but it will be a long time before I buy another Patterson novel that he has co-wrote.Na
1By Jackson8I will never read another book by Patterson again. This book was boring. Could have been a bad episode of Walker Texas Ranger.Lams
1By bribrieeAbsolutely cheesy and lame. The way it’s written is just so cheesy and not realistic or relatable. The ending was beyond predictable. No plot twist that you couldn’t see coming. By far the worst book I’ve read by him.Texas Ranger
5By Volunteer DaveA great read. Very hard to put the book down. I loved it. David.Waste of time and money
1By former fsnI have been a fan for 25 years. This didn’t even sound like it was written by the same Patterson I’m used to reading. Seriously disappointing. Don’t bother. Will not be pre-ordering again.
