Description
In James Patterson's #1 bestselling Private series, the world's most exclusive detective agency hunts London's most mysterious killer.
For Hannah Shapiro, a young American student, the nightmare began eight years ago in Los Angeles, when the owner of Private-the world's most exclusive detective agency-saved her from a horrific death. Now, after eight years, the terror follows her to London. The only man who can help is former Royal Military Police Sergeant Dan Carter, head of Private London.
In London, young women are being abducted and their bodies found mutilated in a grotesque, mysterious way. Carter's ex-wife, DI Kirsty Webb, leads the investigation into these brutal murders, which may somehow be linked to Hannah Shapiro.
Working together, the two investigators are caught in a desperate race against the odds. Private may be the most advanced detection agency in the world . . . but can they catch a predator who rivals London's most elusive killer ever?
Reviews
Nice airplane book
3By JanehowzeNice airplane book but no depth of character development or a plot that made much sense.Complicated
4By smmonfeeOverall I enjoyed this book. It was difficult to get into because so much time was spent introducing characters. Lot of names that meant little at the time. But, once past the intro it became more interesting and was hard to put down.A let down
1By SkyysteveTo many characters, plot all over the place, and a major mystery was not explainedBad theme! Not exciting! Just a bad story

5By Abu ezekielI made a purchase of this book but it's still asking me to pay again and it's on my purchase list.Private is an Awesome series!
5By Kodasmom325I absolutely loves series with some of the same characters but yet still adding new from book to book. You've hit it out of the ballpark again! I'm addicted and cannot wait to start on the next one!Really bad.
1By HahfiensjsHard to believe that this was written by a professional. Introduced to WAY too many characters, most of which had nothing to do with the confusing and poorly developed plot. Not a good look for Patterson... He should write it if he attaches his name to it.What's Up With "Private?"
3By Emily BellWhy haven't you brought back Peter Knight from "London Games?" Especially since this one set in London. He was a great character. The best in all the Private books (with the exception of Jack Morgan). I like the idea of the series but think it hasn't come into its own yet. Disappointed ReaderNot up to standards
2By RAMJDJut not as we'll written as other Patterson novels. Too many twists and turns. Too confusing. Very disappointing.I LovedThis Book!
5By MBA78I started reading this book and was so intrigued, I could not put it down! I just read it from start to finish! Not worth it
2By OLymeBonnieI agree with the other reviews that say that this book is not up to par with James Patterson's earlier novels. This was a waste of my time and $$.Private London
1By 1970TACI normally enjoy James Patterson books but Private London was one I did not. I was unable to follow the story and the characters. It was a disappointment.Private London
1By CintulaThis is the first book that I really did,nt care for.I have read many books that Patterson has written and could,nt put them down! This book was too complicated to read.Very disappointed!Ann leePrivate
1By mnjopuyI have been very disappointed in Patterson's recent books. He needs to get back to the writing. This book is convoluted to the point I have no idea who anyone is or how it all comes together. The Hamas has just come into this already mixed and mashed story. I will never know the ending because I'm done reading. I used to wait with anticipation for a new "James" but now I'm going to tread cautiously before purchasing any more. Really too bad.Private London
3By Bosco's DadA shame that Patterson no longer writes his own novels. Keep hoping for a great book but lately it's just not there. Nothing great here at all. Felt nothing about anyone. Cold and bloodless reading at its worst.Ok
3By Steve Arron 15Started off really good with a great deal of action and heartbreak. There was basically two different problems going on in the story so it lost some zeal for me. Too many characters too that were brought in for a second then brought back chapters later felt like I needed to take notes. Too much at the end with regards to how the puzzle got put together and a bit unbelievable. Not his best but still enjoyable
