5By Rxman*Couldn’t put this book down once I started readingGreat
5By Scott_A_Miller5 Stars. Patterson books are almost always fun and this was no exception. Bennett is every bit as fun to read as Cross. This one grabbed me from the beginning and held on. The mystery was solid enough that I figured it out at the right time. That’s always a plus. Bennett’s family played its part as well as expected. Their stories are growing and that’s a good thing. Bring on the next one!Obsessed
1By Say-Say JaneI keep hoping for something worth reading, but his paint by the numbers, predictable, pedestrian approach to writing is a waste of time. Go read a James Lee Burke novel. That Michael Bennett
5By IaavwMichael Bennett is the type of detective that everyone should want on a case.Good book

2By VAEMOMMAI wouldn’t recommend. No twists. Nothing to shock or draw you in. Very boring.Ended a little weak
3By emjay1I’m a back in the day James Patterson fan who let raising a family get in the way of my love of reading. Well I’m back and I was excited to reacquaint myself with some of my favorite authors. I just remember better character building or maybe just more complicated characters. I got to the end of this book and thought. Oh, he’s the killer, well that wasn’t very interesting. We learn the killers motives in a weird speech as he’s cornered. He just laid it all out. It was boring and so was his motive. I’m new to this hero but I didn’t find him interesting enough either. I kept waiting to find out what secret deal he had where he could afford 10 kids , in a nice apartment, in the middle of NY city, on a cops salary. Rent control ? Inheritance? Side gig? Corruption?Maybe it was explained in another book. That’s what I convinced myself of to get past it. I found it an easy read and I was ok following the plot. I just didn’t find the reveal very satisfying. I didn’t dislike it enough to erase all those years I spent enjoying James Patterson, though. I’ll definitely try something else.Obsessed
2By rosiemel58First. The killer is NOT obsessed with Bennett’s daughter. This is not a psychological thriller either. This is ok at best. And I question if the pros reviewing here even actually read the book!Loved the book.
5By Carol PruchnicI love all James Patterson books.Corny and unimaginative
1By cgibbObsessed reads like a Christian teen novel. The characters are uninspired working a case that I never cared about. It feels preachy and sanctimonious. If you like Hallmark movies this might be for you.
