Description
She’s all warmth and tinsel. He’s spent years surviving in sand and silence. This Christmas, something small and bright might just change everything. Hannah Wheeler moved to Wishful to start over—closer to her sister, with quieter dreams and a slower pace. While waiting tables to get by, she’s quietly taking on holiday decorating jobs around town. It’s her way of bringing a little cheer—and reminding people, including herself, that she’s more than just what they see on the surface. Ryan Malone didn’t plan to spend the holidays in a small Southern town. But when his mom worries that his Uncle Percy isn’t taking proper care of himself, Ryan is sent to check in. As an Army medic on emergency leave, he knows how to assess a situation. What he didn’t expect was Hannah. She’s light where he’s all shadows. Soft where he’s all edges. And even though he came to Wishful to keep his distance, he finds himself drawn to her—again and again. Heartfelt, hopeful, and full of quiet magic, A Lot Like Christmas is a grumpy-meets-sunshine holiday romance about small kindnesses, unexpected joy, and finding love where you never thought to look.

5By cici-onlineKait Nolan’s stories are always filled with love and friendship and A Lot Like Christmas is no exception. Hannah Wheeler is living with her sister in Wishful, MS, while recovering from the car accident that derailed her Atlanta interior design career. Ryan Malone, a medic with the Army’s elite Delta Force, is currently on leave and on a very different mission. At his mother’s request, he’s in town to perform a wellness check on a beloved family connection, his ‘Uncle’ Percy. But Percy isn’t cooperating and Ryan is beyond frustrated when Hannah is sent by a friend of Percy’s to decorate his house for Christmas. As the decorations go up, Percy is reminded of holidays with his beloved late wife Janie. Like a Christmas miracle Percy begins to lose his reclusive and curmudgeonly ways as his home is transformed. And, Ryan begins to fall for kind, sweet, talented Hannah. Going back to Wishful is like visiting old friends -- before you know it the visit is over and you hate to leave. You can only hope you’ll be invited back to Wishful soon! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.A Lot Like Christmas

5By CassBloomHannah seems like an amazing person from the first scene, then she meets Ryan’s eyes and her warm welcome sparks the fire… even if they don’t know it yet! It was fun to see him melt down his walls slowly while she found her courage and opened herself up for more than a moment’s time. I enjoy how so many small businesses flourish in Wishful and how young love can be found. Hannah’s Christmas decorating business may be one of my favorite so far! I loved the slow burn of Hannah and Ryan’s relationship that develops into trust and commitment. I couldn’t have written a better epilogue myself, and am glad they got their HEA… Thanks Kait! My new favorite line in a book… “That was a kind thing, and my mama always says you should never apologize for kindness. Even if you jumped to the wrong conclusion.” I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Get into the Christmas spirit!

5By Lil herpOh how I love this series! The Wishful world is great and this one has a great bonus of the Casserole Patrol! You have to read Kait ‘s books. They are all stand alone, but they are even better when you read them all. Kait is so talented. She creates great characters and a fictional world you want to live in. Such a gift! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Sweet romance
5By Killer readAnother great romance by Kait Nolan. Her books are sweet, funny, and romantic. This one did not disappoint. Hannah is living in Wishful with her sister while she recovers from a health scare and tries to decide what to do with her life. Ryan is a military man in the special forces. He doesn’t have time for relationships. Ryan takes a leave from the military to check on his “Uncle” Percy. The three join forces to decorate Percy’s home for Christmas. Everyone starts trying to play matchmaker. I love how the book shows the different challenges each character is facing and how their relationships with each other help them overcome the obstacles they are facing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
