Loved this book! Stubbornness and an evil and greedy man separated true love but the ending makes it all worth while!

Mature characters in a story of second chance romance. Insight into music business was interesting, and added depth. This book has great supporting characters, too.

This is the second book in the brand-new Men of the Misfit Inn series and I just loved getting to reenter this amazing world. I am just so happy that Kyle and Abby finally got their story told. This is the best book I have read in a long time. I was just drawn into their story and the hints from previous books just didn’t do this couple justice. I just felt so much for them and I was so sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

This book totally tweaked my heartstrings! Reading the truth about what really happened between Abbey and Kyle suddenly makes you go, ‘Well it’s no wonder....’ It was so good to get the history and to finally understand what happened, why these two who are so obviously meant to be together, weren’t. Just a warning though! If you’ve never read Kait’s stories, be prepared! You become invested in these characters and you begin wanting to visit Eden’s Ridge, to share time with them and to get to know these obviously real people better! Thanks again Kait for providing entertaining, enjoyable stories with believable characters you develop a relationship with as the story unfolds. You Rock!!! Kyle and Abbey's story was so well written with such good character development that I thought I had finished the book half way through... much to my surprise I had more to read (and was thoroughly delighted and entertained). The plots are relatable and the men of Misfit Inn don't disappoint. I wish I lived nearby so I could go to jam sessions and have a cider with everyone! A must read!!!! This story was so sweet. I fell in love with the characters immediately. Abbey and Kyle were soul mates that had been tossed about by life. The kindness that Kyle exhibited to Abbey when things became overwhelming for her. The other character I fell in love with was Abbey’s Granddaddy. He was a cantankerous sweetheart that I am sure many people have experienced in life; the good and the bad. Kait just keeps publishing books that keep me hooked to all her series but I love this “male” perspective that she is concentrating on in this series. In Our Kind Of Love, we finally get Kyle and Abbey’s story, and with it, an explanation long overdue - but one worth waiting for. I couldn’t imagine what on earth could be a good enough reason to keep these two apart for 10 years — but it’s a doozy! You don’t have to read earlier books to enjoy this yummy story, but the intrigue about their standoff definitely makes this book a very satisfying read. They also have a lovely backstory that involves a plastic ring from one of those little candy and prize machines, where you put in a quarter and get something in a little plastic bubble. When Kyle was 6, he spent almost all of his saved allowance before finally getting one with a ring in it to give to Abbey. This little ring weaves its way through the story and their lives in an endearing fashion. With Kait’s books there’s always an HEA and Kyle and Abbey’s story comes with a surprise as well. Kait Nolan’s “Misfits” are such wonderful , engaging characters! After meeting all Foster mom Joan’s daughters in the Inn series, we’re getting to meet more of their brothers in the “Men” installments. I never seek out musician heroes, despite my overwhelming love of music. It’s just not my favorite sub trope. But I really loved Kyle, probably because he just wants to write and perform his sings, nit get caught up in being a star. Seeing his childhood best friend and lifelong love again makes him realize what he’s been missing all these years. Clearing up a decades long misunderstanding brings them together again…and that is gold. While I’ve read the previous books, I definitely think new fans can read this as a stand-alone…but I bet they will be intrigued enough to seek out what came before. Kait Nolan writes a darn good book with wonderful characters, laughs and a tear or two for good measure. She’s a go-to author for me!

After 10 year of wondering what went wrong. Severely disliking one another yet still in love. Kyle slips up in an interview stating he was engaged to Abbey. This forces him to go back home which he has been avoiding since his parent went to jail as a teen. Getting the chance to talk things out they realize the were each told a lie by Kyles manager so he could better his own interest. Grandad tells Kyle he needs to work out what went wrong all those years ago so they can find their forever. Throw in a mom who gets out of prison starting trouble for Kyle and his music future. All in all they walk down the aisle through the orchards for their dream wedding after the first two failed attempts. Thank you, Kait Nolan for telling us more about the children that grew up in the Misfit Inn! This story is another great addition to beautiful triumph over tragedy HEA stories coming from the Misfit Inn. I absolutely loved the main characters and how they re-connected not to mention revisiting the original Misfit Inn characters. Please keep these stories coming.
