Description
She spent her life chasing stars. Now she’s back where it all began—with a broken heart, a shattered dream, and the one man she never planned to see again. Michelin-starred chef Athena Reynolds has always known who she is and where she’s going. Until it all falls apart. Betrayed by her boyfriend and sous chef, ousted from her own kitchen, and out of options, she returns to Eden’s Ridge to lick her wounds—just until she figures out what’s next. The last thing she expects is Logan Maxwell. Once, they shared a wedding weekend fling she never forgot. Now, he’s the man who bought her childhood home—and the quiet presence who offers comfort without strings. Logan doesn’t ask for anything. He just shows up. Steady. Kind. Unshakably patient. But when Athena gets a second shot at her culinary dream, it comes with a choice: the life she thought she wanted, or the man who might finally feel like home. Poignant, sexy, and full of heart, Stay a Little Longer is a reverse grumpy-sunshine romance about ambition, belonging, and discovering that sometimes love doesn’t ask you to give up your dreams—it asks you to imagine new ones.

5By Deb-austinKait Nolan has done it again. This is a wonderful read. I loved the way Logan looked past Althena’s tough layers to the tender hearted person underneath. His patience and loving care were so romantic. I also loved to see the adopted sisters reaching out and supporting each other and the developments with the youngest sister. Thanks Kait. Please keep them coming! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The chef and the farmer
5By CassBloomI loved Athena, the feisty chef, falling for Logan, the patient farmer (secret therapist). The push and pull of the story seemed so real. The hidden secrets Athena holds, tied in with the history of the family farm make this so relatable, yet dreamy. We all wish we could find a place we can come home too. This book brought in all the family with perfect timing, I love Ari... she has so much spunk in this family of adults. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Love going back to Eden’s Ridge

4By Jen G FARC for honest review with no compensation, received from BookSprout 4.5 stars Stay a Little Longer is book 3 in the Misfit Inn series by Karl Nolan and a great addition to this series! This story is about Athena Reynolds a world renowned chef, who after catching her boyfriend in a very compromising position in their Michelin Star restaurant in Chicago, she has a meltdown that ends up on you tube..so not good...so she heads back home to Tennessee to figure out what is next for her life...helping her “sisters” in the Misfit Inn and reconnecting with Logan Maxwell her one night stand or leaving again to start over somewhere else... Logan Maxwell, owner of the up and growing organic farm has feelings for Athena since their one night of passion but knowing she belongs in Chicago at her restaurant he hasn’t pursued her...that is until he runs into her suddenly at the Misfit Inn and wonders why has she returned home? What happens next is swoon worthy, has secrets, lots of sparks, laughter, tears and rooting for this couple to find their way to a HEA!!Great curl-up-and-read book!
5By MaryCap1964This one surprised me. I have to admit I was not excited about prickly Athena’s story. Of all the Reynolds sisters she was the least likable. Snooty and Stubbornly unforgiving even with absolute proof she was in the wrong, I just wanted her to stay in Chicago with her fancy restaurant and leave her sisters alone. Her transition is amazing & nicely crafted. She becomes downright endearing as she takes on the challenges of embarrassment, confidence, adapting and love. I enjoyed the awesome creativity and support of her love interest, sisters and niece. And the entire story is so believable and wonderfully written that you’ll definitely feel you’re part of the story too. An excellent read!! 5By Nettie1114Kait Nolan books are great to curl up to and to just enjoy reading. Stay a Little Longer is a Misfit Inn story of Athena Reynolds a chef and part owner of the Misfit Inn. When she was home the year before from Chicago for her sisters wedding she has a fling with Logan Maxwell, an organic farmer. Now she is home from Chicago hiding from an embarrassing video that went viral and to reacess her career and life. The attraction Logan feels for Athena is still present but he knows she distrust and runs scared. Kait Nolan has the ability to write a beautiful story that you become emotionally involved with the the characters. I highly recommend reading Stay a Little Longer. 5By Norm256This Misfit Inn story is about renowned chef Athena’s fall from grace and her struggle to find her new place in the world. One of my favorite scenes, and trust me there are many, is Athena’s dramatic and exhilarating response to her cheating boyfriend’s pitiful attemp at justification. You HAVE to read it for yourself!!! Chef Athena is a very prickly, short tempered woman (think Chef Gordon Ramsay) who through farmer and former psych major, Logan, we see is truly a tender woman who has built a defensive fortress around her heart to protect the little girl that she was when she was removed from her father and placed with Joan, her adopted mother. As Logan continues to break down the walls Athena has erected, the instant chemistry between the two grows into a sizzling love affair, but will Athena stay in the small town to see what could come of it or will she run back to big city life for a career she thrives at, but secretly hates. I loved “Stay A Little Longer”! Athena May cook for stress relief, but for me it will be grab and reread (several times over) any Kait Nolan book, beginning with “Stay A Little Longer”. 4By Killer readI normally find Kait Nolan’s books light and refreshing. This one, not so much. I honestly was not a fan of Athena until around the last few chapters. She comes across as really harsh and somewhat of a diva. I did enjoy how Athena matured over the book and by the end she is a much more likable character. The sisters and Logan are such likable characters that they make it worth the read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Stay a Little Longer
5By GarligirlReally enjoyed this book. I like the small town feel and location. Athena was a great compliment to Logan. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Prickly chef meets her match
4By mermaidx98I can honestly say that I am not an Athena fan. I loved the story but she is just so prickly, I can’t think of a better word. Abrasive is too harsh but by gosh she puts poor Logan through the ringer. I don’t know how he had the patience to deal with her. I get it that chefs are self absorbed most of the time but she takes it to a new level! I loved being annoyed by her. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.I loved it!!!
5By groffmj7This book was great. I love that Athena has such strong character. This book had so much in it. A little tear-jerking, a few laugh out loud scenes, and a couple of, “I didn’t see that coming,” scenes. I don’t think a lot was known about Athena before this book. The Misfit Inn series is great. I think I need to re-read the others! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Love it
5By wenonah roseStay a little longer I’ve read all the misfit inn books and enjoyed them all. I have to say I loved Athena’s story, read it in two days. I love how Logan is able to see the real Athena, the side of her that she never shows anyone. The connection of the farm had me in tears. I also loved Ari presence in the story. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next one. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.I couldn’t put it down!
5By CrzySleep101This book is written so well that I just wanted to keep reading. I was hooked and I didn’t want to put it down! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
