I loved this one. So simply done and yet so much of emotion and nostalgia packed into it. And it’s heartening to read about Zach and Lexy. A must read for anyone that has faced heartache in high school. And most of us have!!

Who wouldn’t want the chance to go back & say or do (or NOT SAY OR DO!) something they regretted. My heart ached & rejoiced. A truly delightful read!

I love any opportunity to return to Wishful and Dancing Away With My Heart is no exception. Once again, Kait Nolan captures the intimacy of small town living as Lexi returns to her hometown to help care for her mother and runs in to her long lost best friend and former secret love Zach. Zach and Lexi slowly fall into step again but both struggle in resuming their friendship each holding back. Although a novella, Kait renders such rich character development for which she is known and leaves the reader routing for these characters to have their HEA. -- I received an advance complimentary copy of this book and am delighted to voluntarily offer this review.

However they went their separate ways after high school. Now Lexi back in town and can she keep avoiding Zach like she has the last decade? You don’t want to miss their heartfelt story. *spoilers* Kait Nolan always makes me feel some type of way with her books and it was no different with this book. I laughed, I smiled, and I cried - it was a rollercoaster of emotions from beginning to end for me. Zach is the cool guy, the one everyone loves, he’s laid back and just wants to enjoy the time he has with friends. So, when his high school best friend comes back to Wishful after years of not seeing her, he jumps at the chance to hang out with her, but still wonders what caused her to push him away all those years ago. Lexi has been running away from Wishful and Zach for a decade. She has never gotten over his rejection and has never dealt with it either. For fear of Zach finding out why she left, she agrees to work alongside him at his photo company, as well as hang out with him outside of that work. Soon, she’s remembering why she felt the things she did and is scared to face that rejection, again and is prepared to run back to Texas where she now lives as soon as her mom recovers. But, Zach isn’t going to let her go that easily, again. Especially now that he knows why she left and that he feels that same way and has, maybe, always felt the same way. Kait tells a beautiful story of two best friends who were maybe always supposed to cross paths and end up together. A beautiful story filled with laughter and tears. Kait never disappoints and I guarantee you won’t be one you finish Dancing Away With My Heart. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
  • Back for a visit

A visit to Wishful is always welcome! This story introduced Lexi, and paired her up with Zack Warren, who I first met in Just For This Moment, as photographer for the newspaper. I felt a bit of a disconnect when there was no mention of that part of his background, but I still enjoyed the new story. In fact, the story was realistic enough that I could definitely feel Lexi’s pain and embarrassment. But the ending more than made up for any uncomfortable moments!

I loved Dancing Away With My Heart! Lexi returns to the town of Wishful after 10 years to help her mother and runs in to her best friend Zack. Zack doesn’t understand why Lexi stopped being his best friend and is clueless yet he wants her to work with him in his photography business. Kait Nolan wrote a wonderful story of best friends, misunderstandings and second chance love. She is one of my favorite authors and I love her characters in the town of Wishful I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
  • Love Wishful...and Zach & Lexi

As a fan of friends-to-lovers romance, as well as the Wishful series by Kait Nolan, I was excited to read Lexi and Zach’s story. While Lexi has been living with hurt feelings since high school, Zach’s been missing his best friend and doesn’t understand why she backed away from him. I can totally understand Lexi’s heartbreak, but she needs to be brave and share those feelings with Zach. And while Zach is super excited to see Lexi again, he’s clueless as to the more than friends connection with Lexi. Great characters, an easy read that I couldn’t put down and lots of romance are exactly what I receive every time I pick up a book by Kait Nolan. You can dive into the series at any point, because although they exist in the same world, each book is a stand-alone.

I love Kait Nolan’s novellas. I get so caught up in the characters that I finish it in one day. This story is a new twist. Lexi comes home to her best friend she has been estranged from, Zach, and he wants to resume the friendship! The story goes from there .. I don’t want to give anything away. Kait Nolan puts so much personality into her characters you are able to picture them in your mind. Her stories make you “settle in” and let go of the everyday drudgery. Highly recommend this book. This book was a sweet second chance book, but I would have liked to see more of a development in the characters relationship. It seemed that it they both just kept fighting the attraction and then all of a sudden they were together and the story ended.
