Description
Mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham must discover what could make an entire community disappear--before it's too late--in this thrilling entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling Alpha and Omega series.
In the wilds of the Northern California mountains, all the inhabitants of a small town have gone missing. It's as if the people picked up and left their possessions behind. With a mystery on their hands and no jurisdiction on private property, the FBI dumps the whole problem in the lap of the land owner, Aspen Creek, Inc.--aka the business organization of the Marrok's pack.
Somehow, the pack of the Wolf Who Rules is connected to a group of vanished people. Werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham are tasked with investigating, and soon find that a deserted town is the least of the challenges they face.
Death sings in the forest, and when it calls, Charles and Anna must answer. Something has awakened in the heart of the California mountains, something old and dangerous--and it has met werewolves before.
Reviews

5By PsstdoffRiveting, so looking forward to the next Charles and Anna adventure..Great Reading!
5By DennyPenny62Hard to put this one down. Lovely dynamics between Anna and her pack, and revealing the monster was indeed a “gripping” moment ;-)Don’t stop now!
5By CheriMicheleI will wait patiently for the next book! Love this series! The details, thought and research are amazing.Love the series! Not my favorite book
4By EyresaMy favorite series!! I really had high hopes for this book because of the cover. I was a bit thrown off with the plot twist, but that might just be because I had my own expectations for the book. However, still a lovely read, even though it is not my favorite book in the series. And I’m desperately looking forward to the next book because of the cliffhanger.Stunning
5By BoomertimerSo many surprises! Lots of twists and turns. Danger abounds every corner. Make sure you have tissues right next to you as you read. I sobbed, screamed in GREAT frustration at a certain blockhead and laughed with joy. If you’re an emotional reader and soak up everything an author writes (especially when said author is Patricia Briggs). Laughter abounds, I really do wish I could see Charles with his heart stopping smile. Patricia Briggs is one of the rare authors you find yourself privileged to have the pleasure of reading her books. Patricia has true talent, creativity, passion and heart in every thing she writes. Truly stunning!Everything I needed and more
5By kingraven2020I absolutely loved this book!!! I could not put it down and it’s just getting better as the book went on. I especially loved the subplot that consent is needed for everything. Also if you have been reading these series for long you know the notorious ice queen Leah, but it’s in this book that we learn more about her. (Spoiler:she’s not as evil as we believe) 100000/10Anna and Charles
5By RayannonThis is my favorite series. I love Anna and Charles and I so want Samuel to find happiness and not have to struggle so much. I also love the Mercy series. I actually love all of Patricia Briggs books!I mean it’s Patricia Briggs...
5By Calamity-amity... so you know it’s amazing. Rich with lore, action, excitement and heartbreak. Not to mention learning more about the Marrok’s mate! Amazing read. And as always, left wanting more.Great title
5By ShamuMiaThere was nothing that I did not like in this book. Patricia Briggs holds the reader captive (in my opinion) from beginning to end. And even then you are looking for the book to continue. The Alpha and Omega books are wonderful. I hope that the author continues the series. The Outsider?
2By $0P!-!iEPlot is completely based off The Outsider by Stephen King. Thrown off by the cussing. Even when Ben cusses, we know he did it and what he was referencing, but the actual words aren’t written. This absolutely could have been a short story. It just drags repetitively. I feel like you had to make a publishing deadline and just coughed this up, half baked. Disappointed. Also, we know who Mercy and Adam are or we wouldn’t be reading the book. Why is there an explanation of who they are every time they are mentioned?WILD SIGN = A wild Success
5By jnetdPatricia Briggs makes the idea of werewolves living semi-hidden in American society convincing because they go up against such frighteningly real bad guys. In this book, U.S. werewolf leader Bran sends his top troubleshooters, son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Anna Cormick, out after an entity that has resurfaced to decimate a town in the mountainous wilds of Northern California years after it messed with his mate. Reading this book was a flying dream akin to shooting the rapids, cliff diving, watching or dancing a stage show with good choreography, rooting along your favorite Olympiad to a win, or co-creating, with one’s beloved, a great meal for your favorite people and loving it. In other words, Briggs is a Talent at the top of her game. You wouldn’t have to be a series reader to appreciate this book’s dynamic: it’s all about family protecting their own. But folks who have first read BURN BRIGHT will appreciate it a whole lot more. I recommend you do yourself a favor and enter the series with any of the books from 0.5-4, and then read BURN BRIGHT before reading WILD SIGN. New fans and those transitioning over from the Mercy series will enjoy going back to take the books in order and watching the characters develop. Big fun.I want the next one
5By EcogrlPatricia Briggs never disappoints, and this was a great addition to Charles, Anna, and Bran’s storyAmazing

5By Wishing & HopingI enjoyed reading this book. It was great to see Anna and Charles happy. I can’t wait to see what happens with Bran and Leah. The ending was both happy and sad.Life when remembered honestly hurts....
5By Maddy12158999Briggs grabs your heart and takes it on another thrilling adventure!!! You love the characters and you love their world no matter the pain the story drags you through. Brilliant!Amazing
5By olderthaniamThis was a great addition to this series. I eagerly anticipate learning more about the lives and times of Anna and Charles Cornick and their familyPatricia Briggs Always Delivers
5By KateDanielsMercyHauptmanAs usual, Patricia Briggs has delivered a compelling story, with a non-stop plot that also manages to reveal even more layers to the characters and world she has built. Her characters, and our understanding of their relationships and motivations, evolve with each story. Briggs never fails to create complex, high-stakes storylines with innovative resolutions that reveal even more about the magic in this world. The insights into the history between Charles, Bran and Leah enriched and deepened their shared storylines. The reveal of enemies and allies - both new and old - made this a fantastic and worthy addition to this series. The epilogue packs an emotional wallop and I can’t wait to read what happens next.
