Description

A warrior with inner demons falls for a woman who could save his soul in this seductive novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

Within the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Rhage is the warrior vampire with the strongest appetites. He’s the deadliest fighter, the most voracious lover, the quickest to act on his impulses. He’s also been cursed with two hundred years of hell. Possessed by a beast, he lives in fear of the times when his inner dragon comes out and he’s a danger to everyone around him.

Mary Luce has unwittingly found herself in the vampire world, and under Rhage’s protection. With her own life-threatening curse to bear, she’s not looking for love. Besides, she’s stopped believing in saving grace and miracles long ago. But when Rhage’s intense sexual attraction turns into emotional bonding, he knows he must have her for his mate. As their enemies close in, Mary finds herself praying for something she fears she’ll never have: life eternal with the one she loves.

I love this book even more than the last one. I stayed up all night to finish it. I didn’t remember this one at all, but this one nearly broke my heart before saving it at the very brink. For a Black Dagger Brotherhood book, it was sweet and heartwarming. It was also great getting to see into Z’s part a little bit. I totally forgot about his roll in this one before he gets his own book next.

I have read this story more than 10 times. When I want a good paranormal read I always find myself back to this book. The love between Rhage and Mary is remarkable and so is their transformation throughout the book.

I really enjoyed Lover Eternal. Mary and Rhage were a perfect match. They truly love each other. Not really liking the Scribe Virgin. Learning more and more about the brothers. Looking forward to continuing the series.

I don’t think I have ever cried so hard and unexpectedly when reading a book! The behind the couch scene really caught me off guard. It was so relatable I balled and couldn’t read through the the tears! It was such a beautiful scene.

I read the first book in this series but won't be reading the rest. I just don't want to read chapters about sex which continues for pages even after it's done. Actually I skip the sex scenes as best I can but still have to read about it to see if it is finished. I'm not a prude but I am a believer of Jesus Christ and I just don't feel we need to enter the privacy of someone's bedroom, even if the person is fictional. I find it strange that men authors write and sell very good and often best seller books and don't feel the need to add sex. I'm not even sure what a woman gets out of reading about it unless they are lonely and need to pretend and make believe. That is sad to imagine. I think many women think other women enjoy reading about it so they go along and pretend to enjoy it also. I bet if each woman was seriously honest they would admit they too skip those parts. It is too bad some very good writers lessen their talent by over doing the sex scenes.
