The Perfect Couple
By Elin Hilderbrand
From New York Times bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand, comes a novel about the many ways family can fill our lives with love...if they don't kill us first.
*New York Times bestseller*
It's Nantucket wedding season, also known as summer-the sight of a bride racing down Main Street is as common as the sun setting at Madaket Beach. The Otis-Winbury wedding promises to be an event to remember: the groom's wealthy parents have spared no expense to host a lavish ceremony at their oceanfront estate.
But it's going to be memorable for all the wrong reasons after tragedy strikes: a body is discovered in Nantucket Harbor just hours before the ceremony-and everyone in the wedding party is suddenly a suspect. As Chief of Police Ed Kapenash interviews the bride, the groom, the groom's famous mystery-novelist mother, and even a member of his own family, he discovers that every wedding is a minefield-and no couple is perfect. Featuring beloved characters from The Castaways, Beautiful Day, and A Summer Affair, The Perfect Couple proves once again that Elin Hilderbrand is the queen of the summer beach read.
Excellent read4By lady bird 10Good read
The Perfect Couple3By VacgmnjI look forward to Elin's books every summer, but this one didn't hold my attention like usual. I didn't love any of the characters and found myself bored and just wanting to finish the book. The ending seemed rushed like there were some chapters missing.
Must Read5By Bookreader82918Well written.
A Great Read!5By Arnies volunteerLoved how the story went back-and-forth between the time after the wedding and the events leading up prior to the wedding. Very cleverly written. Oh, and a surprise ending we didn't see coming. Enjoy!
The Perfect Couple3By YaiyiaGreat book until the ending. Very anticlimactic.
Ok read3By paxphishI love this author and most of her books. I did not love this book. End was unfulfilling, wish more was answered. Maybe a sequel? Fast read though!
Loved This Book5By rughookerI have read almost all of Elin Hilderbrand’s books but this one is my favorite. It is a classic “who done it” book and the ending was a real surprise. I loved all the interesting characters and couldn’t put it down.
The perfect couple5By MPG from TxGreat read, one of my all time favorites.
The Perfect Couple1By BitsybooboobopI found the audiobook painfully difficult to listen to. I found the heroine to be a complete simpleton who strings along a loving fiancé. I felt like I had to dumb-down to get through it.
Fair story however too much irrelevant info2By emskayThe story, plot was good and well thought out. However I felt there were too many characters implanted that had no bearing on the story and in fact superfluous. In other words the book could have been more captivating without the authors need to add more pages and characters irrelevant to the story or plot
