By Elin Hilderbrand
A summer wedding stirs up trouble on both sides of the family in this beloved bestseller from "the queen of the summer novel" (People).
The Carmichaels and the Grahams have gathered on Nantucket for a happy occasion: a wedding that will unite their two families. Plans are being made according to the wishes of the bride's late mother, who left behind The Notebook: specific instructions for every detail of her youngest daughter's future nuptials. Everything should be falling into place for the beautiful event -- but in reality, things are falling apart.
While the couple-to-be are quite happy, their loved ones find their lives crumbling. In the days leading up to the wedding, love will be questioned, scandals will arise, and hearts will be broken and healed. Elin Hilderbrand takes readers on a touching journey in Beautiful Day -- into the heart of marriage, what it means to be faithful, and how we choose to honor our commitments.
Boring with annoying and predictable characters1By new yorker 2019For some reason, I was so put off my the dead narcissistic mother’s notebook. So controlling and judgmental and out of date. I hated the main character Jenna and the fact that she could not make a single decision herself and was so naive and clueless. Frankly, it felt like the 1950s reading about this fool getting married when she lived in a bubble. I also was annoyed at her crispy-granola, pious liberal persona. The only interesting character was Margot and she even disappointed. I will prob move on to another author similar to what others say, reading this author is like reading the same boring, shallow, one dimensional book over and over again.

Beautiful Day5By PuggletsLoved this book. Good summer read.
Beautiful Day4By Mom-MimiLoved it! I have a large family like this family, so I could relate to all the stories attached to even the smallest character. Enjoyed every minute of it and can't wait for her new one to get me all involved again.,
Can't get enough!5By DmbwI wish Elin Hilderbrand's books wouldn't end. I find myself wrapped up in the characters, thinking about them even when I'm not reading the book. I wish this author would write more, faster! I can't wait til her next book comes out!
