Description
In this #1 New York Times bestselling thriller from Harlan Coben, a dead man's secrets fall into the hands of a vigilante antihero—drawing him down a dangerous road.
Over twenty years ago, the heiress Patricia Lockwood was abducted during a robbery of her family's estate, then locked inside an isolated cabin for months. Patricia escaped, but so did her captors — and the items stolen from her family were never recovered.
Until now. On the Upper West Side, a recluse is found murdered in his penthouse apartment, alongside two objects of note: a stolen Vermeer painting and a leather suitcase bearing the initials WHL3. For the first time in years, the authorities have a lead — not only on Patricia's kidnapping, but also on another FBI cold case — with the suitcase and painting both pointing them toward one man.
Windsor Horne Lockwood III — or Win, as his few friends call him — doesn't know how his suitcase and his family's stolen painting ended up with a dead man. But his interest is piqued, especially when the FBI tells him that the man who kidnapped his cousin was also behind an act of domestic terrorism — and that the conspirators may still be at large. The two cases have baffled the FBI for decades, but Win has three things the FBI doesn't: a personal connection to the case; an ungodly fortune; and his own unique brand of justice.
Reviews

5By DOA @ LOSGood to see the focus on Win for a change, instead of Byron an, as usual, Harlan Coben tells a really good tale. It’s a ‘Win’ner.
5By MikeDAZDifferent, but an enjoyable romp in Win’s world. The plot is a good one and not surprisingly, edge-of-seat through the end.Adiamond

4By AtomicCougmore Win.WIN
4By C-retiredAs usual, Harlan Corbin gives us a great story. I enjoyed this book being totally about Win and his family. I have read almost all of his books and have enjoyed every one of them.Win win for the reader
4By Cap't CrunchMyron B’s alter ego and frequent partner in always saving the damsel in distress finally has his own book! Good, if not better, than those books featuring Myron; Win becomes involved in a gnarly set of mysteries, seemingly unrelated except all involve one member or another of his relatively small family. Well written, interesting plot that keeps the reader guessing and a chance to better know Win who has been a ‘supporting actor’ in the previous stories featuring Myron. Highly recommended.Win
5By GrandmamienonoExcellentFantastic.
5By VassmySo much fun.Good storyline - meh on parts of the story
4By christinalcI love Harlen Coben. Love his books. They are so easy to read because you can’t wait for the plot and twists to be revealed. This book had a good storyline but Win was different, and he referred to Myron too often. Myron wasn’t in the story! Anyway, still enjoyed it just not my favorite book of his.Win
4By VicgrisI enjoyed the banter from the lead character. The mystery which at times got convoluted was also a page turner. The plot lives in a world of opulence and wealth and the lifestyle is more expected with the privileges allowed there. I can never look at Saks the same way. I I suspected the conclusion and it didn’t disappoint. Great read.Coben is awesome.
5By Tuckaseegee Fly Fishing GuideCouldn’t have asked for more in a mysteryWIN
4By NoBrainerToMeCoben, Aka Bolitar, wrote an entertaining story full of his usual twists and turns at the end, but I did not enjoy it as much as previous books. Maybe if Ema and Jessica turned out to be tag team overweight wrestlers I could have enjoyed it more. The point is it needed more of his ridiculous humor.
