Description
In this stunningly twisty thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Harlan Coben, a secret from former Detective Sami Kierce's college days comes back to haunt him. His memory is clear, but all these years later, the facts don’t add up…which is something he cannot ignore.
Sami Kierce, a young college grad backpacking in Spain with friends, wakes up one morning, covered in blood. There’s a knife in his hand. Beside him, the body of his girlfriend. Anna. Dead. He doesn’t know what happened. His screams drown out his thoughts—and then he runs.
Twenty-two years later, Kierce, now a private investigator, is a new father who’s working off his debts by doing low level surveillance jobs and teaching wannabe sleuths at a night school in New York City. One evening, he recognizes a familiar face at the back of the classroom. Anna. It’s unmistakably her. As soon as Kierce makes eye contact with her, she bolts. For Kierce there is no choice. He knows he must find this woman and solve the impossible mystery that has haunted his every waking moment since that terrible day.
His investigation will bring him face-to-face with his past—and prove, after all this time, he’s nobody’s fool.

Not His Best
2By Rphilli1963Usually I really like Harlan Coben, but this one was not my favorite. The plot was actually interesting, but something about the way that this book was written I did not enjoy. Kind of disappointing since it’s his new one! Maybe I am just comparing it to his other books too much, but I wouldn’t recommend this one.I wanted to love this book
2By ESMIT1914It really thought I’d love this book but I had to quit reading it. There were way too many people to keep up with.Fantastic
5By doggywhitOne of the best novels I have read in quite a while.Great read!
5By parishopperCouldn’t put it down.Lots of good twists but
3By ABQBlytheThere were a couple of incomplete plot lines. It’s almost as if she started a couple of plot lines and then decided to not follow them through, but forgot to delete what he had written. Needed much better editing, but other than that a good read.Loved it, loved it! !!
5By ggpoppieAnother great book!! And like all of your books, I am anxious to know when the next one will be out. I have read every book you have (at least I think so) published and got many of my friends hooked on your books. Thank you for so many great reads…you are the only author who has me guessing “who done it” until the end of the book. I am almost 87 years old and I am hoping your books will be in heaven!Fast paced thriller
