3By DedPool817I feel like the actual story, which is good, is about 80 pages shorter than the book. Coben will describe a product or some piece of technology a character is using for pages before he gets back on track with the plot. By the second or third instance I learned you can skip over them, all of them, and it won’t affect the story whatsoever. Only the second book I’ve read by the author, but if this is his writing template, it may be my last.Great

So you’re reading one scene and then the next thing you know you’re somewhere else. In other places they used the *** between the scenes, which is the way it should always be.No Second Chance

It bothered me that the context too seamlessly would change from one set of characters to another, causing confusion and the need to re-read so I could understand. You’d finish a paragraph with one character and suddenly the next paragraph started with dialect of another character in a completely different location in the story. Fast moving, a lot of twists and turns, an everyday kind of guy just doing what he has to do to survive a tragedy and get some answers, and then an ending I never saw coming.
