Don’t miss the JOE PICKETT series—now streaming on Paramount+
A mountain patrol leads Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett into a dangerous situation in this gripping novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author C. J. Box.
It's Joe Pickett's last week as a temporary game warden in the mountain town of Baggs, Wyoming, but his conscience won't let him leave without checking out the strange reports coming from the wilderness: camps looted, tents slashed, elk butchered. What awaits him is like something out of an old campfire tale, except this story is all too real—and all too deadly.

No Where to Run C.J. BOX
5By Wet againWyoming Game Warden Joe Pickett goes by the rule of law. That’s his job and that’s the way he is. To say he is an honest man is an understatement. Sometimes if he could caught a litter slack things would go a lot more smoothly. Two poachers from Michigan living in a remote area he issues citations too. He doesn’t know they are wanted men, fugitives, treated unfairly by the government of Michigan. What unfolds is a classic tale of Joe and his partner Nate handling a very tuff situation to the best of their ability. An excellent read!! Enjoyed immensely!CJ Box At the Best

5By savagemasterlukeThe depth and richness of the story line was fantastic, with excellent character development, as usual! Joe Picket continues to shine as a worthwhile protagonist and his sidekick Nate Romanowski doesn’t disappoint either. Hands down the best series I’ve ever read, can’t put it down!Nowhere to Run
3By boots saddleEntertaining, but largely not believable...even for fiction. Main character doesn't act like an experienced woodsman or LE official. He just sort of fumbles his way through the book.Intense
