A Court of Frost and Starlight
By Sarah J. Maas

- Release Date: 2018-05-01
- Genre: Paranormal Romance
Description
A tender addition to the #1 bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin and A Court of Silver Flames.
Feyre, Rhysand, and their friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly altered world beyond, recovering from the war that changed everything. But Winter Solstice is finally approaching, and with it, the joy of a hard-earned reprieve.
Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, her concern for those dearest to her deepens. They have more wounds than she anticipated-scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.
Bridging the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin with the later books in the series, A Court of Frost and Starlight explores the far-reaching effects of a devastating war and the fierce love between friends.
Reviews
Disappointed
2By nanajacquieSeems like this could have been condensed to a chapter or two in the final book in the series rather than it being a stand alone book on its own. Frankly disappointing that it was a separate book, particularly when it cost almost as much as the others, and yet extremely short! Felt like a way to get people who wanted to read the whole series to spend more money.Fun
4By Quigs0514Fun, but not the same as the rest of the series.Let down
3By deRENIYeah I should have definitely skipped this book. Massive let down compared to other books in the series. I understand the aim of character building up but this book was a complete snooze fest.Tone Change
4By ChelsheyhiGreat, but an unnecessary break in tone. I majorly enjoy parts of it, but often found myself rushing to get back to the characters and storylines I cared about. It didn’t feel essential, but I’d still recommend it to fans of the series. It’s a no from me
3By lposadasBoring. So so boring. I ended up just looking up summaries because I could not get myself to finish. And it’s a small book… I’m obsessed with the other books, but this one was definitely unnecessary. Had to skip.A little change in pace was nice
5By SamTurnaaI liked that there wasn’t a lot of battling going on in this book. It helped add more of a story line to everyone on who they really were.Loyal Fan
4By RayvieI loved the POV of each character. I love her writing so much. 4th book in and I am waiting to see what the Sarah does in the next book. Please don’t break my heart girl I have so much more to read from you.Nice
3By CasdattFeels like when your favorite show does a Christmas special. It was a nice breakFluff Book
3By CaraamiaLoved the series so far, but this book was not worth the price in my opinion. Im always happy to read more character development with series I’m involved in, but I didn’t feel like this book offered much. I was definitely hoping for more from this book.A little disappointed
1By kkcklockJust a fluff book and very short.Bad book
2By mmmmjjjjjjmmmmmJust a terrible book. Nothing happened. Kinda want my money back on this one. The first 3 were great. This one, was not. Wish I skipped it.All the courts of Maas
5By VtCowgirlReally love the characters and stories. Romantic and heartbreaking and a little naughty tooRefreshing and Simple
5By mnfitnessAs many have said, it’s shorter. One day I realized it was the last chapter and was a little sad. I enjoyed the opportunity to get a closer look into some of the relationships of the characters and to see how they’re doing post-battle. And a nice break from some of the dark moments from the books prior.Neutral
3By bnm1220I didn’t hate it. But certainly didn’t love it. Skimmed a lot of it. An intermission novella before what I assume to be very dramatic ending.enjoyed it thoroughly
5By nicoldesireeI fully believe in good slow-burns and well done fillers and this might be one of them.Unlike the others
2By Tish LeachI was saddened by the lack of plot and story progression. Thus read much more like a short story than a true novel in the series.Beautiful Slow Burn
4By OliviscozydreamsI enjoyed this book very much. It’s beautiful, magical, and romantic. Compared to all the others it feels like a small novela that feels like a calm slow burn in a lot of ways. Excited to read Silver Flames & ready for the story line to pick up more now after this snap shot of peace. 🫶🏼A court of Frost and Starlight
5By Drea2316Love it!1/3 the length of the previous books in the series..
3By AmynreyesReads more like a novella than a novel. Too much left unanswered. Some characters become even more unlikable.
