Description
The stunning third book in the sexy, action-packed Crescent City series, following the global bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath.
Bryce Quinlan never expected to see a world other than Midgard, but now that she has, all she wants is to get back. Everything she loves is in Midgard: her family, her friends, her mate. Stranded in a strange new world, she's going to need all her wits about her to get home again. And that's no easy feat when she has no idea who to trust.
Hunt Athalar has found himself in some deep holes in his life, but this one might be the deepest of all. After a few brief months with everything he ever wanted, he's in the Asteri's dungeons again, stripped of his freedom and without a clue as to Bryce's fate. He's desperate to help her, but until he can escape the Asteri's leash, his hands are quite literally tied.
In this sexy, breathtaking sequel to the #1 bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath, Sarah J. Maas's Crescent City series reaches new heights as Bryce and Hunt's world is brought to the brink of collapse-with its future resting on their shoulders.

I want more
4By HrbjtgdgbThe finale to this series overall did a nice job putting it all together. My only complaint is that everything moved to quickly like all the conflicts were just resolving too quickly, the book could’ve been fleshed out way more. I will say that I hope this is not the end of this series, I’ll be more than happy to read a spin off about what happened next!So many answers
5By kristen_emilyAction packed and questions answered, I love it! Now we waitNot as good as the second
3By cleaning 4 funHappy with the book but the second crescent city was just so so goodDisappointed and Perplexed
2By alismarieThere is a small part of me that enjoyed this book, and the series overall, but at its core, there is so much lacking. The most significant is the character development. With perhaps Lehabah being the only character with any emotional complexity. Having recently finished ToG, this is rather perplexing as the author had developed those characters so thoughtfully. Kingdom of Ash specifically is beautifully orchestrated — this is trash in comparison. I don’t know what happened to this series but from the very start I was left disappointed and searching for reasons to care for, or find depth in any of the characters and their storylines.HOFAS review
2By CtccclolAs many others have already said, this book feels cobbled together, but the thing that stood out most to me was SJM’s changing characterization of Bryce. In the first book, Bryce was a like-able if impulsive, but in HOFAS, she makes so many decisions that just feel so wrong and so petulant that it, at least for me, ruined my enjoyment of the book.Freaking awesome
5By JaneWolfeChristianLove all the characters, the never-ending plot twists & finality of everyone’s stories. Rich inter woven worlds and elaborate storylines but exciting and nail-biting adventure/action. Pretty phenomenal. Next book?! lol!Skip
1By avid-reader-123I genuinely love all of her books but this was definitely her worst one. Skipped the last 200 pages and was glad I did when I read the endingAll’s well . . .
4By FantasyFaves 2021Almost bailed because of the repetitive graphic violence. Not to mention endless use of the eff word as noun, verb, adjective . . . But Maas brought all the pieces together with some creative twists. Not sorry I read to the end.Obsessed
