I love these stories withEve, Roarke and crew. They never fail to shine a light on the evil in the world and break it down. This is one series I never miss!
  • First JD Robb book I could not finish

There were so many instances where Robb’s voice was either not present or the attempt was so off the mark that I struggled and eventually had to stop trying to finish this book. I have read every JD Robb book since the series start and have never experienced this kind of disconnect. Because of this, I’m hesitant to buy the next book in the series. This book was belabored, lacked the usual rhythm and flow, and the character nuances always so present in past books eas tortured beyond recognition.

Love these books and always looking for the same intrigue and heart connection that this writer brings in other series but other authors don’t come close to JD Robb (Nora R)!
  • Slow start, fast ending

As stated, slow at the beginning until around page 400-450ish. Good, albeit fast ending. I’m always a little bummed to end the stories before the victory party, but this was satisfying nonetheless.

I’ve purchased every book in the death series. I worried that this one wouldn’t be as good. It’s SO good! I couldn’t put it down. I hope the next one is this good. Can’t wait!!!

Knocked this one out of the ballpark.
  • Tedious,affected, and preachy

I wanted a good police read and bought this book. I was highly disappointed and quit after reading about a quarter of the book. First, it is tediously written with more boring detail about irrelevant issues than anyone needs. Second, the author uses an affected writing style that refers to phones as 'links and other euphemisms that aren't even clever. Finally, the book sets up an unrealistic "straw man" organizations to condemn and serve as a vehicle for virtue signaling. Overall, a waste of money.

This book was different. How Nora comes up with all this stuff is amazing, but as I’ve read the whole series I can say I loved it and yes I was waiting to go to the Pub to celebrate myself.

J.D. Robb has once again given her readers an in-depth look at the lives of the characters we know so well. Relatable to current events, and a triumph to the good guys. Can’t wait for the next book.

Another intriguing and fascinating book with LT, her rich husband, and the FBI. The story started with murder and then investigation which is always the best part begins. Can’t wait for her next book. Wish she could write faster. :)

Good Book, ~ sigh. I really really wish it had been longer. Would have loved more details. Lead up and take down. Much as i love all the In Death books and I’ve read every single one of them, I always long for the next one to have more depth, more characters, just more. I read this one in an afternoon. For the price of Books that’s just not enough.
