ANY of Sanford's "Prey" books are worth the addiction...
5By PastorKat2011After reading #1, I was hooked. These are the type of well-written & intense books that once you fall in love with the main character(s) & get hooked on the story, next thing you know everything else around you stops & you're pretty much "living" the adventure. I prize my hardbound collection of Sanford's "Prey Candy"!!Top notch
5By joylpc24I love the Prey novels so much, I am rereading them, starting at the beginning. Lucas Davenport is an amazing character.Read them in Paper - OMG!!!
5By Mzldysth1John Camp (aka John Sandford) is a storyteller. That is the highest praise I can give an author. He weaves a story that draws from not only plotline, but from the character development. Each character is fully developed into an individual personality you can cheer for or cheerfully boo. There is nothing left to chance when crafting the personality of Lucas Davenport - Detective extraordinaire. These books are not fast or slow paced; they are methodically laid out to draw you into the suspense of the underlying crime(s) and hook you with the deviations into Lucas' personal life. When you know anything, you're trapped in the world of Lucas Davenport as told by John Camp.Wonderful

2By Matt buThe book dragged on forever. I was just trying to finish the book. It doesn't pick up until chapter 28. Not my type of author.See why?
5By Basil BakhshiAlways wanted to read his first, figured it would clue me in on why there were so many in the series. A well executed lift-off for the rest. Thus far, my favorite way to visit Minnesota. Well worth the $!Rules of Prey
5By Mike PekarMy first by this author but most certainly no my last.Absolutely Thrilling!
5By Jeff is a Warriors fanPutting the book down to tend to my daily activities was honestly a challenge for me. Wanting to continue reading eventually thrust my study schedule into irrevocable chaos and incompleteness, the only remedy being to finish the book. I must note how well each character is developed throughout the book; I felt as if each character was a personal friend, or of the like. The suspense was plentiful, and skillfully foreshadows a thrilling conclusion. Overall a great read, and I recommend this to anyone in search of a great crime/detective story!
