This was the first book I ever read by Stephen King. I was only 15 years old and that began my love for Mr King’s writing that persists to this day 21 years later

The story was a tad slow but man the ending...THE ENDING!! And the story The Cat From Hell was even better!

Absolutely loved it.

Stephen King is so much more sophisticated in his writing than Dean Koontz. I just read Odd Thomas and regretted buying it. I always go back to King.. This is another great story. Buy it.

Major miss in my opinion. My least favorite King novel. Story story story that went no where zzzzz, and then a ghost at the end. Rushed and abrupt finish leaving lots of questions. What did I read all that for? Sorry Stephen.

S.K. called this a haunted love story. It's also about an author in which King delights us with his insight. There's a lot of great quotes here that I really enjoyed. This story takes awhile to get going but trust me, keep reading! I throughly enjoyed this novel and highly recommend it. After all were all just a bag of bones.

I am new to audio books but love to read. I could not stop listening. It put me into THE ZONE and I missed my turn off while listening to it in my car ......missed it by 6 miles!!!!!

The best of the best.

I have read and listened to this book when it was first released. I own the hard and soft copy. For whatever reason this story has touched me. I feel like I was there in the amazing way King details just enough for your imagination to run! Bravo!

As always Stephen King keeps us wanting more! Thrilling and full of suspense! LOVED it!!!

This was my second time reading a Stephen King novel. I have to say I'm hooked. He has such a vivid and wild imagination. I'm a fan for life. This was a great read and will keep you wanting to read more.

This is my favorite Stephen King book. It's his attempt at a love story & is beautifully executed.

This is an awesome book which I own in hardback, watched the movie (good but not the book; I know lots of people say that), and now own through iTunes. As said it is great with detail, does show the bonds of love whether mother and child or husband and wife, that wonderful good vs evil, and fast-paced SK so known for. Hard time with iTunes version and make it not as great for the 4th or 5th time of reading it was the misspellings more than any thing as it made hard to sometimes make out what should be there as so misspelled. If iTunes could replicate hardback it would be 5 stars and not 4.

Love this book. Will read again.
